The food was quite delicious. I am looking forward to my next visit to try some more of the wonderful dishes they serve.
The Food:
The prosciutto bruschetta was the star of the starters—perfectly presented with asparagus and none of the rubbery regret that sometimes comes with it. The pizzas taste fresh, like someone in the kitchen actually cares. Thin crust, blistered edges, and toppings that don’t look like they were just thrown on as an afterthought. It’s not “Naples-authentic,” but it is “I’d absolutely order this again” delicious.
Cocktails are pricey but balanced, not sugar bombs, and the wine list plays well with everything on the menu. Servers know their stuff, which is always a plus when you’re indecisive and hungry. Like me erry day. Our server checked in just enough to make sure we were happy, stayed chill when we needed a minute, and gave solid recommendations that actually landed.
North Italia is one of those rare places that looks good, tastes good, and doesn’t make you feel like you’re paying for the décor more than the meal. If you’re in Bham and craving Italian that feels elevated but not pretentious, this is the spot.
Would I go again? Already planning it.
Atmosphere is cozy but very loud and busy which can result in slower service
Id definitely go back but maybe on a weeknight a little earlier so it’s a little less busy.
Chicken parmesan was great! The restaurant was crowded there was a wait but I sat at the bar!
This is the best Italian food I think I’ve had!
I am not one to go out of my way commenting on how great a restaurant looks, but I absolutely loved everything about the inside of this restaurant. It reminded me of dining in New York City.
We started with the white truffle garlic bread. Which we had last time as well. Equally as amazing as the first time we had it. Honestly it’s the best thing there!!!
I ordered a Margherita pizza and my husband had spicy rigatoni vodka pasta the first time. Both were delicious!! The second time I ordered the pizza again and my husband got lasagna. Mine was fabulous yet again and his was definitely not normal lasagna and the waitress even warned him when he was ordering, he said it was OK but really is more a fan of traditional lasagna..
Seriously. absolutely fantastic both times.. we have found our new favorite place to eat.
