When people think of seafood all the way out here, so far from the coast, they assume it will be low quality. But here the food was actually all up to scratch!
Been here a couple times, and been satisfied for both visits. Only complaint I may have is that one of the servers mixed up the ingredients in my order somewhat (he heard spicy salmon as spicy tuna, sweet corn as seaweed), but I just took that as an opportunity to try some new things, and despite not being what I ordered it was quite good!
Owner also seems nice enough, definitely would recommend.

Absolutely ecstatic to finally have a dedicated seafood restaurant in Ames. Sashimi and sushi was fantastic! Staff and service was fantastic! Lobster bucket was great to and I have to say that something I didn’t think much about until I ate it was the boiled egg in the lobster bucket but even it was cooked perfectly and so good. They say you never get a second chance at first impressions and they don’t need a second chance here.

Food was fresh, good quality, good flavor. Mussels and crab were cooked perfectly. Poke bowl was also great aside from disproportionate fish to vegetables, definitely less fish. Our card was also charged an additional $5 after we paid, for services not specified by Eatstreet email, but overall a great first experience. Would recommend to others and buy again.

Really excited to have a place like this Ames! We had the calamari, oyster po boy, the half pound crawfish, and fried oreos. Everything stayed crispy by the time we got home and tasted great! I would strongly recommend the what’s in your bag and the calamari. The po boy was really good, but Yum sauce was sweeter than I was expecting so I’d personally try a different sauce. Lastly, the website was really easy to order from and it only took them 30 mins to make all of this.
