Came back today and ordered the brisket grilled cheese. Every aspect of the sandwich was perfect. The gooey cheese, the flavorful brisket, the tangy pickles, and the perfectly toasted bread made me want to savor every bite!
My fiance enjoyed his cheeseburger immensely and we would eat here 3 times a day if possible!
That having been said, there have definitely been huge improvements in the quality since my last review. I think what’s even more impressive than a restaurant that has good food is one that finds a way to make changes when customer satisfaction declines a bit. Kudos to the recipes and hard work of everyone here. I encourage everyone to try this place out! It is worth it–and the location is beautiful!
WOW, this was so incredibly delicious! We had Mac & Cheese with bacon, plain Mac & cheese, and a bacon cheeseburger. The food was seasoned just right. The burger was cooked correctly. The burger buns were perfectly toasted. The bacon was deliciously crispy. The bacon was so good, that when I dropped a piece that fell onto the chair….I enabled the 5-second rule! It was too good to waste! Also, the owner was front and center! And when I chatted with him, he gladly responded back with genuine conversation. Orders are now modernly taken on the phone; which I personally think is smart to do. I initially thought he was playing on his phone while I was giving him my order…but i realized after he was just taking my order on it. I’m sooooo glad I came back to check it out. On another note: I don’t even remember or care to know how much the food cost, because whatever it was –> it was worth it!! We will be coming back very soon!
Original Review: Overpriced for BBQ that is mediocre. Not good enough to go out of the way for. Seems like they are constantly low on supplies; including staple menu foods. A better management system needs to be put in place. There is no consistency in the food: sometimes it’s over seasoned, or undercooked, or dry etc…when I let them know (I only have when it was overly salty and not even edible) they didn’t even offer an apology. He was able to offer me an attitude and tell me it wasn’t over salted. I eventually received a replacement. I expect a better BBQ experience, since it is their “specialty”. What else makes me not want to come back here? Not only is their food mediocre; every single time I’ve gone, the customer service is non-existent. There is never a smile on their for the customer. They look like they are miserable. Looking for service with a smile? You won’t find it here. I’ve seen customers come in from far and are telling the employees how excited they are to be there to eat the BBQ. They might as well be talking to a wall. There is no enthusiasm shown towards the customer. I’ve seen an employee in booty shorts…and I haven’t been back since. That was the last time I went I heard it use to be good years ago…
I was hoping it was a fluke, but seems not. To the owner/s: Check your ingredients for carageean. It is an inedible form of seaweed frequently added to cheese and dairy products as a thickening agent. It is known for triggering stomach cramps. Like the ones I have right now. Please bring the quality back, we miss what this business was a year ago!!!
