Went in with a friend, was immediately met with glares by the bartender and few customers she was chatting to. Wasn’t aware they were closing early but they were still unnecessarily rude. Reluctant to give drinks. Could only order one shot at a time and didn’t seem happy to have to serve us. Vibes weren’t great upon entry but she seemed happy to let us leave. Nicest she was was when she was saying bye.

Great corner pub. Reasonable drink prices, and a friendly atmosphere. NEP is serving holiday hot drinks – Tom & Jerry’s, Hot Buttered Rum, Peppermint Patty’s, Peanut Butter Cups, Butterballs, and Caramel Apples. YUMMY and only $5 each!!!!!

During this visit, my husband and I attended a dart tournament. The experience was delightful and inviting. The patrons were kind and the service was courteous. There is no doubt in my mind, we’ll be back soon! Thanks North End Pub!

My friend forgot her ID, so we explained she is 40, as we packed to go get her license. The man behind the bar was very condescending, repeatedly calling me young lady; even after me asking him to not refer to me, in such a condescending manner. He, then, followed us to the parking lot, saying we don’t understand, nor have to pay the fine. Until this point, we were going to return, license in hand, but we are taking our money, elsewhere, now.
Do not look at people, thinking they are lesser, due to age. He used his age of 50, to justify his words, telling us, we haven’t been around enough to understand. We both understood and respected the need of an ID, and went to satisfy that requirement, without the cross words of condescension. She only lives blocks away… your loss, since this was our go-to bar. Quality outweighs convenience.
Please, learn from this encounter.
