This has been favorite takeout sushi restaurant for years. Everything is always super fresh, fast, and reasonably priced. The salmon mango avocado roll is my favorite. can’t recommend this place enough!

Heard about this place from a colleague who lives in the North End who mentioned she was picking up sushi from here for her sushi night. I’ve walked past it plenty of times, but never thought much of it. Finally decided to stop in and grab some rolls and nigiri.
It’s a tiny, takeout-only spot. Total hole-in-the-wall. Prices were surprisingly affordable. Probably cheaper than most grocery store sushi in Boston. That might explain why it’s really popular among the locals in the neighborhood. Even for a simple order, I waited over 40 minutes, and there was a steady stream of regulars coming and going.
Unfortunately, the sushi itself was some of the lowest quality I’ve had from a restaurant in the city. Most of the fish was dull in flavor and off in texture. A few pieces—mackerel, albacore, yellowtail—tasted borderline questionable. Even the basics like salmon, tuna, and shrimp weren’t very enjoyable. The only upside was the rice. Served at the right temperature, with good stick and seasoning (unlike the cold, dry stuff you get in pre-packed trays).
Thankfully, the spicy tuna roll was soli. And from the looks of what others were picking up, the rolls and hand rolls seem to be the move here. If I return, I’ll skip the nigiri entirely and just stick to their specialty rolls.

This was a simple takeout sushi restaurant and please don’t get intimidated by the look from outside. Food was fresh and made on spot, we ordered the special platter while chef were preparing the food – we just walked around the Old Bay area for exploration then picked up the food later. Price was actually on point and please be aware as there are none table availability for indoor dining.

By far the most affordable and one of the better quality food places in North End Boston. After dining at several highly rated places in the area that all served mediocre, overpriced food, finding this hole in the wall place was such a relief. Forgot to take pictures because I started in on the sushi almost immediately but I got the spicy salmon roll and spicy tuna roll. I’m not sure if I’d return to Boston but if I did, I would definitely come here.

This is a must go for anyone who is going to Boston. This has the best lobster roll I’ve ever had period. They’re good is on the spendy side, but everything that they have is absolutely worth every penny.
There is no indoor seating area, so be prepared to take your food on the go. There’s many ways to eat whatever you do order, whether you take it back to your place, or you just eat on the street, there is not a wrong option.
I highly recommend getting their Spicy Tuna roll with one lobster roll. You will walk away so satisfied, you can then go back with the knowledge and power to order ANYTHING off of their menu with confidence.
