What a delight to stumble upon a spot that serves up hearty, homemade breakfasts while on the road! North Country Café hit the mark perfectly. We split a gooey caramel roll and the Ultimate Stuffed Hash Brown—both were incredibly satisfying, with portions as generous as the charm of the place. The service was just as memorable—Cora greeted us with a warm, friendly smile that lit up the room. North Country Cafe is a true gem in Crosby!

Amazing place to go for a wonderful breakfast. Got the chicken fried chicken special and it was one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a while. Everything cooked to perfection. Crispy chicken, still crunchy/soft biscuit underneath, and the basted eggs of course. Laura was amazing, the classic fast and friendly service you hope for on brisk Sunday morning!

I was on my way north, and needed to make a stop for a meal–thankfully, I chose the right place to do so!
The staff were welcoming, and very helpful with recommendations and questions. I ultimately had the stuffed hashbrowns, and it hit the spot for me. I will definitely be making stops here from now on whenever I am going up north and need a meal.

Perfect country cafe. Good food and lots of it (enough for two people).
Good coffee. Super friendly staff. I have never tried stuffed hashbrowns and decided to try it. It’s pretty good. If you are in a town of Crosby give it a try. My server’s name was Catie, super sweet. Also with every order I heard them I ask:”would you like ketchup, hot sauce, peanut butter or jelly?” And I noticed people asked for jelly. In Texas I think people would be choosing hot sauce. Just a cute observation.

I would love to give 5 stars as it is deserved, almost.
Pros: Beautiful location, very clean. Food was hot and delicious. To go order was quickly made. Welcomed quickly when entered with love although I am a out of town guy and my first time here.
Cafe was recommended by Holiday Gas Station clerks as they said when they said some work guys stopped in the other day and raved about the food. I simply asked a question, who as the best food in town? i was pointed to NC.
Laura was server, she let me have a sample of the Broccoli & Cheese soup as I was going to get a bowl. After some indecision on my end, Laura was patient, kind and a huge asset to your organization!!! I like jalapeños, and at a near a dollar add-on, I decided against adding it to my 1/3 cheeseburger.
My order was to go. The order requested was perfect: cheeseburger, french fries, pickles, salt, packet, a side of ketchup and barbecue sauce and utensils, with a side of Pepper 🙂
More Pros: Buns were toasted, French Fries were hot, crispy and I would definitely order a full plate of those!
Cons and the reason for a 4 star and not a 5 at least for now and hope to be able to change this rating when I come back, possibly as soon as tomorrow as I will be in town. My disappointment was the cheese was already evaporated before I got to take a bite less than a minute later (see pic). My pickles had a monster hole in one and the other was torn apart (only speaking of appearance) Pickles were fresh and good! The burger, although delicious was too salty and I love salt! The bottom bun was too buttery and squishy, and basically dissipated as I put finger pressure on it. (These are all EASY easy things to fix and that’s why I mention them otherwise Hillary you may never know). You should still go 100%
The 1 thing I would consider changing is the BBQ was to bland, I didn’t even know it was BBQ, just paste my opinion, wish there was a bit of punch and flavor. I hope I am allowed to come in again sometime 🙂

There were 9 of us & we ordered all different items. The food was decent, the coffee was okay & the service was horrible. We saw our waitress three times. We had to catch others as they came passed to get help with more coffee or things we needed. It was 15 minutes between the time we got water & menus and when we got coffee & ordered. They shorted one of the kids his bacon. We had to get someone else to get it. I guess I should just be happy that it is October & there isn’t 3′ of snow yet.

I got the Smothered and Stuffed Hashbrowns, I love them. We also got a cinnamon roll, it was huge and perfect. The service and food is always great. I was shocked to see a Victronix steak knife served with the steak. These people know what they are doing.

We love coming here in the summer on our bike trips. Large portions (mmmm stuffed hash rowns), we always have leftovers Great service, Laura is the best ever!!! Superfast getting the food out too! Very nice diner feel inside can be louder when it’s packed but overall quiet

Stopped by for lunch on a cool windy day. Lucked out. Special was scalloped potatoes with ham. Amazingly good!!! Just like mom’s!!! Brought back so many childhood memories of full-satisfied bellys. Service (by Laura) was 5-star plus. Their new fresh remodel offers a pristine place to grab a bite and enjoy some quiet The breakfast burrito was awesome too. Did not try the pastry bar but they looked so tempting. Will be back for sure.
