So I ate at the Normandy Inn for the first time today, and I definitely give them 5 stars!! I ordered the Shrimp Cocktail as an appetizer and I was not disappointed. They were more than Jumbo. My server; Mary; knew what she was doing and her timing was spot on. When I was eating the last shrimp she was there at the table with a fresh coke and my salad. The Roll was served HOT, not just warm, and came with the options of prepackaged whipped topping or what appeared to be homemade whipped butter (possibly with a hint of honey?) When I finished with my salad, Mary quickly came by removed the plates, brought me a fresh coke and I asked her for some horseradish when she brought my Ribeye. I did not have to wait long before my steak was served PERFECTLY cooked, and not overly seasoned. I had opted for the baked grilled potato and was not disappointed. Mary checked back with me after I had time to try everything, not too soon and not too late. I witnessed her interact with 2 different children one who was at the end of their meal and one who had just came in. She called each child by their first name and interacted with them in a respectful but not childlike manner. When she took the child’s order she addressed them directly and made the choices understandable to a child. The child had ordered a burger and instead of asking if the child wanted American or Swiss, Mary asked “do you want cheese? White or yellow? And when the child answered white, Mary said Swiss out loud giving the father a chance to correct if the child did not like Swiss. She also spoke to the kitchen staff about making a special accommodation for the child regarding the side item he wanted 🙂 I asked Mary a couple of questions, how long she had worked for Normandy Inn and how long she had been a server. And even though she has a bit of time as a server under her belt, It is very rare that I have had service as perfectly timed as Mary executed it, and I have rarely seen the respectful attention that she gave to the children, allowing them to be; at least for the moment; peers.
The restaurant was very clean, noise levels were appropriate if not lower than expected for a restaurant/bar during dinner hours. It was a calm and relaxed atmosphere, and based on this experience , I would recommend this restaurant 10 out of 10 times. Kudos for a job well done Normandy Inn, And I hope you understand how much of an asset Mary is to your team as well!!

I’m sorry but the food is not good 🙁
Even my potatoes were soggy; you could tell they were two days old.

The whole family absolutely loves build a burger night. The service is exceptional and the value is excellent. The food tastes great! We went two weeks in a row! This place will become a habit for us. Using cash also gives more value.

First timers. Not for us. We stopped in on a Thursday evening and the atmosphere was very laid back and chill and not busy. We weren’t sure if we were to seat ourselves or wait, as there was no sign or direction. We ended up asking a lady who told us to seat ourselves . We opted for a booth in the back, but noticed it hadn’t been cleaned. We waited about a minute for the gal to come wipe it down. She proceeded to grab a dry rag and brush the crumbs off the table onto the floor. She didn’t use spray or disinfectant to sanitize which was sorta gross. My husband ordered a decaf coffee and when he received it, it was very lukewarm. They also told him there were out of half and half. Our waitress did offer some milk which she brought in another coffee cup. We eventually had to ask her to microwave his coffee because it was really cold after adding the milk. We put in our order and got an appetizer. The fried pickles were decent. My husband ordered cheese sticks to go with his chili as a meal and she brought the cheese sticks out as an appetizer. We ended up waiting an hour and ten minutes for our food. All we ordered was a burger and fry and my husband a chili. When my burger came, I noticed the bun was very dry and hard. Upon inspection, I discovered that my bun was frozen in the middle. I also had to scour the other tables for a full ketchup as our bottle was empty. The waitress was not very attentive at all and we had to ask her for napkins and our check when we were ready to leave. It just wasn’t a very pleasurable experience. My husband said the chili was ok. Their beer battered French fries were really good, but the burger left little to be desired. I was hoping to like this restaurant but we will likely not be returning.

Small, overcooked pieces of fish, bad French fries and coleslaw -nothing good about the fish basket. Advertised prime rib Friday & Sat, which is what husband planned to order. They didn’t make it because of Valentines Day. Overall, waste of money, big disappointment for a special day. Also, owner interrupted our server to ask what to do with walk-ins but no space? No class, crappy place.
