I have never before written a Google review, but after being diagnosed with E. coli, I feel compelled to do so, if I can prevent even one person from experiencing what I did.

To preface, I have been a very long-term customer of Noribar. I have been ordering from them regularly for YEARS (at least four, probably closer to five or six). You would think that under those circumstances my concerns would be taken more seriously and that I would be treated better, but, as you’ll see, that was not the case at all.

First, if you haven’t heard of E. coli, I highly recommend you look it up so you understand the nature and seriousness of what we’re dealing with. It is not simply a stomach ache. In my case, I had to go to the emergency room, I was unwell for a week, and it took a severe toll on my mental health—the trauma was so intense that I was to terrified to eat altogether for days.

Second, for the sake of total honesty and complete transparency, I do not know with absolute 100% certainty that it was food from here. What I do know is everything I ate before the symptoms set in, and based on that information and the timing of when I ate and when I started experiencing symptoms, I have concluded that it was the food from Noribar. This next part is important even if it wasn’t.

When I first called to let them know—not to accuse them, but to do the responsible thing and let them know so they could next steps—the guy barely listened to what I said and told me “it wasn’t from us.” When I called a second time to further elaborate, he still did not seek to make any rectification with me. He didn’t offer to refund my $20 order, which would really be below bare minimum, and didn’t even agree to refund me after I asked. That would be absurd even if I simply had a stomach ache, but it’s much more absurd in the context of me having to make a visit to the emergency room, hospital bills, therapy (to cope with the mental health toll, as detailed above,) and the overall impact on my life—none of which is even slightly exaggerated.

More importantly, however, he didn’t seek to do any further research.

If someone calls you to tell you that she suspects she may have gotten E. coli from food prepared at your restaurant, you should be ALARMED and attempt to get to the bottom of it IMMEDIATELY. Some cases of E. coli can be mild, but some can be very severe and result in serious long-term complications or even death. THIS IS NOT SOMETHING TO CASUALLY BRUSH OFF. The fact that he did not respond appropriately should concern you and make you think twice before eating there, even if my E. coli was not from there.

Truly, I would not wish this experience on anyone, and based on everything I have explained here, I do not recommend this restaurant.

It was good. The delivery was faster than I expected. The fish was fresh the only problem I had was they didn’t have the smoked salmon on Uber eats only on their website.

Poorly managed: wait time was more than an hour for 3 rolls. They prioritize online massive orders rather than their in store customers. I regret getting my food here. I just watched order 23 leave before my order 22. I honestly don’t see a point of coming here at all. Like this review so others can be warned.

The service is horrible, the tables are always dirty and the fish has not been fresh. I’ve been coming to this joint for over three years and it’s gotten really bad. Overpriced for the quality received.

Food was delicious and in good portions. The restaurant service was great and the cashier was patient, as I asked about 3about the different types of rolls. As for the atmosphere, the tables and floor needed to be clean, I did not dine in and it was terribly dirty. Just not appealing to dine in

I was super impressed with their service!!! I accidentally ordered from them when I meant to order from a different location, they graciously offered to send the package with an uber to where i actually was even though it was 30 minutes away, most impressive is that they paid for the uber and made sure I got the delivery. This is what I call going above and beyond. Thank you so much!!

The place’s website automatically requires a percentage tip if you don’t go into the options and cancel the option. For a few weeks, I paid dozens of dollars in tips because I didn’t change the option. It’s a stinking exercise.
