Really inviting space. Went with two friends on a Thurs and had ~5 min wait on a table. The slightly slow speed of service was overcompensated by the friendliness of workers. We weren’t in a rush anyways, and the kind/funny service was a great addition to our time. I try panang curry at every thai spot, and this one takes the cake. Spice level was amazing, thick flavorful curry, and great large portion of chicken and veggies. Had leftovers for lunch the next day. Potstickers and crab angels for appetizer were quick and filling. Coconut tofu soup amazing as well.
We tried a lemon drop martini and a cosmo and were impressed by the artistic decor on the glass rims that just made it extra special.
Will be coming back, most likely even within the next week.

Second Edit: We finally got our food, and sadly it was not fresh. Somehow they remade our order, yet it tasted a day old and was falling apart. We did not feel comfortable finishing our meal and unfortunately will not be returning… at least anytime soon.
Edit: If you’re gluten free, avoid Nori until they get it together. Our order was incorrect and had to be remade. We ordered at 6:30 and will probably end up finally eating dinner around 9:30. It’s a bummer. Nori was a 5-star restaurant, and we ate here a lot. I hope to be back soon with a better review.
Food is good, but since the massive loss of staff, things haven’t been the same. I hope they rebound soon. They’re in desperate need of staff. We waited 1.5 hours for our to-go order.

Great service! The best Pad Thai in Birmingham. The coconut soup is really good and hits that same comfort soup itch as the lemon chicken soup from Taziki’s. Really cool aquarium too. I could watch it for an hour.

Ordered their Indonesian dishes: Gado-gado & Mie Goreng. Both tasted very sub-par. It’s clear they used over the counter gado-gado peanut sauce.
The service is bad, even though crowd was pretty thin. Had to fight for their attention just to give me the condiment. One of the Balinese waiters (on floor duty at 8 PM on 1/13) made a rude joke in front of the customer after serving the food.
Will not return and probably cross this restaurant from my to-go place whenever I’m in Birmingham. Very unfortunate.

Disappointing experience despite the high reviews. We weren’t greeted at the door, and service was very slow even though it wasn’t busy. (Friday) The Pad See-u was nice, but not traditional—only 4 pieces of broccoli and bits of chicken. The soup was cold, and the kids’ meal was tiny and looked nothing like the picture; my kids wanted tempura shrimp, and this wasn’t it. Strangest of all, our sushi was served in to-go containers from the shop next door. Even though there was a sushi chef on-site, the fried roll was soft and cold. Our dishes didn’t come out together, so we were all waiting on each other to eat. We won’t be back.

Delicious food with very short wait times. Our lunches came with either a ginger salad or a soup, and we ordered purple sweet potato French fries as an appetizer. I was very happy with the quality of the fresh salad, and my daughter enjoyed her soup. The avocado and cashews paired well with Massaman chicken curry. The dining area was beautiful, clean, and quiet. Silverware was provided with chopsticks available on request. On the way out, we paused by the saltwater aquarium and found a small crab hiding in the anemones. Fun experience—I’d like to eat here again.

Absolutely love this place. The sushi is consistently fresh and delicious, and the Thai dishes are just as good — the pad Thai and curries are full of flavor and always hit the spot. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. The staff is friendly and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. Easily one of my go-to spots for sushi and Thai food. Highly recommend!

We decided to drive up one Sunday afternoon and give it a try! The entrance is alittle confusing, there’s one for the restaurant and a separate one for take out – just make sure to read the signs when you get there! We had no wait and were immediately seated when we got there. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was very attentive. We decided to do the pot stickers for an appetizer and they were really good! For lunch we got the chicken fried rice and the hibachi chicken. Both meals were excellent, the portions were good, the price was great, and they both tasted really good (and both were freshly made)! This is now one of our favorite Thai places! We will definitely be coming back in the future! (If you’re looking for a good dessert place after you eat, Bendy’s ice cream isn’t far and is a delicious choice)!
