A hidden gem!
I came here with my husband and we were blown away. The Thai basil was rich and flavorful, and the sushi was some of the best we’ve had in the town. Love scallops, sweet shrimp and Ika (squid) Everything tasted fresh and was served quickly. The customer service was fantastic—everyone was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. It’s the perfect place for a casual dinner or even a date night. Don’t skip the mango sticky rice for dessert! We forgot to take other pictures because food was too good!!!

i’ve gone here since i was very little , it’s by far my favorite sushi place. everything tastes so fresh. it’s hard to find fresh tasting sushi and i’ve found this is the only place that does it right! service is fine, i’m greeted and sat immediately, they are very attentive, takes a minute for sushi to come out but that’s probably because everything is made right on the spot! amazing place.

While is started a bit rocky with a couple eating sushi while taking a telephone call on their speaker phone while us trying to enjoy the vibe had to ask them to shut it down but once we did it all fell into place. We started with some cold sake and ordered everything was delish and while it was our first time here I’m certain this will become our go to spot. The sashimi was a good portion not paper thin and everything was on par for fresh crisp taste

Small sushi restaurant, great quick bite. The normal rolls are normal and portion size wasn’t filling for me. The specialty roll was amazing, great flavor. Portion size was still a bit small- id probably have to get two rolls next time

Recently had dinner here and was pleasantly surprised at the great service and food. We ordered the dumplings and crab Rangoon for appetizers. They were tasty and fresh. We then had drunken chicken noodle dish and asked it to be spicy it was full of flavor and a perfect punch of spice. We also had the spicy yakisoba with shrimp also excellent and very spicy we loved it and lastly we had a spicy tuna sushi roll with miso soup. Fresh ingredients and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite. I will be back again soon and highly recommend this establishment.

Nori sushi restaurant feels like little family business. Not sure if it is though. The food is always good, the personal is super nice. We love their sushi . We consider it to be best sushi in Sarasota!!

So the wife and I say that this place got really high ratings on Google, but our experience was less than stellar here.

First off, it took about 10-12 minutes before anyone acknowledged that we were even there after we seated ourselves. Once our server finally came over to us and asked us what we wanted to drink, it took another 10 minutes before we were asked what we wanted to order.

The place didn’t look crowded to us as to merit such long wait times to get noticed and waited on. After we ordered, it was another full 30 minutes before we saw our food. The drinks came out quickly so that was good.

When we finally did get our food, we got a mixed result in the taste depending on the dish we had. Our Thai spring rolls and peanut sauce was freaking amazing in flavor! But our sushi rolls we’re just okay and not anything special. They tasted more like “all you can eat” quality rolls rather than the $13-15 dollar rolls we paid for. So I was little disappointed a out that. I felt as if I could have gone to an “all you can eat” sushi restaurant and gotten the same quality for even less money that what we paid for here. Now that being said, the sushi rolls we’re BIG, so, that was the trade off!

Now, the one really AWESOME thing about this place is their Thai tea, THAT was something special indeed! TRY IT!

So, again, there food here isn’t “bad” at all! But I just feel that’s it’s just “okay” for the prices we paid. Also, the wait time was just not good. Maybe we came in an off day or something…? I will give this place another try and update my review then.

Food was okay, good seaweed salad. The only issue was the front of the restaurant where we were seated smelled weird/stale.

Absolutely delicious pot-stickers— we ordered a second tray. The miso soup was flavorful and the sushi rolls were enormous. Hadn’t been there in a while but our dinner did not disappoint.
