This place is extremely good. I’ve been in Rockaway a little over a year now, and I’ve walked past this booth in the mall. One of my friends convinced me to try it, and I fell in love.
My only complaint which is small, I don’t like the after taste from some of the dishes. I’m not sure what it is, but it lingers in my throat for a few mins, other than that I love it!

Really good, cheap sushi. Coming from the UK this level of sushi would be impossible to get at the price point offered. Freshly made to order, limited options but well made with crisp nori. The fish itself was good, nice tasting and seemingly fresh. What made the difference was the warm, collapsible rice. Not going to knock any sushi aficionados socks off, but for mall sushi, and especially coming from the UK, this was great!

This is not your usual mall sushi. Sushi, sashimi, and a wide selection of rolls — all very good, and prepared to order (no pre-prepared food that’s been sitting in a refrigerator unit for a couple of days). The chefs do a really nice job. If definitely go back here. This place really deserves a proper storefront.

This place deserves a Michelin rating. The ingredients fresh, delicious, and consistent. And service is always great. You can rely on this place for the best deal on sushi you’ll ever get.

This is one of my girlfriend and I’s favorite sushi places. Even though this is a small kiosk in the middle of the food court, the sushi is restaurant-quality. There are always the same employees working there (family business?), they are all very friendly, and get me my food quickly and efficiently. Prices are also reasonable, $4.50 for your standard 8-roll order, $7-8.50 for the more complex rolls.
Not sure what that guy is going on about with the gloves, I usually pay attention to this as well, and always see the sushi makers wearing gloves. They’ve also been very nice to me. Sure, they’re pretty quiet, and probably won’t have a full-on conversation with you, but that’s a cultural thing, and shouldn’t be mistaken for rudeness or arrogance.

I don’t have the time to write a more in depth review at the moment, but this was much better than I expected from a mall sushi kiosk. I’m extremely picky about sushi but would come back here with no hesitation. The fish was fresh, portions were good, and overall delicious.

I discovered this little joint about a year ago when I was shopping for my iPhone at the Apple store in Rockaway Mall. I was more than a bit hesitant to eat sushi at a mall. But let me tell you….this place completely blew all my expectations away.
After a year of coming here for my sushi fix, the chefs are pretty chill and actually remember names of frequent customers. They remember mine =)
This is my main go to place for sushi mainly due to their prices. The prices of their fancy rolls are $8. These same rolls go for $11 – $13 at a sit down restaurant. And of course, there’s no mandatory tipping!!
I’ve seen these guy fillet fish right in front of us. I like that a lot. Other customers were a little grossed out. But I like the fact that they had an open kitchen and you get to see how they prepared everything.
My only complaint is that sometimes it is really noisy and you can’t hear them call your number when your meal is ready. Minus 1/2 star. But that isn’t really their fault since they’re located in a mall with 20+ TVs blasting music and kids running around screaming.
Solid A+ place in my books.

I threw up for the first time ever in 15 years of eating sushi. I have eaten here for about 6 years and I am so disappointed I will be done eating sushi for a few years at least. The experience I had was so miserable that I’m dealing with it after eating here on a Wednesday night and it is Sunday now. Also my girlfriend got sick too so we will be telling anyone and everyone who eats sushi to avoid eating here.

This used to be my only choice at the food court, but one day I almost choked on an ell bone.
A few days beforehand I noticed a young girl nearly choke on something from there too, maybe she bit more than she can chew, but after I felt that sharp poke, I was not having a good time.
Sad for the bad experience.
