Nori is unique to Jacksonville and Northern Saint Johns County. The restaurant features 3 venues in one (a concept called ‘Multi-Branding’): A Sushi Bar, Wine/Beer/Sake Bar, and Full-Service Dining. This concept offers customers variety, offering multiple dining and entertainment options within a single establishment. The spatial and menu divisions will broaden our appeal and provide our customers with a different experience on each visit. The atmosphere caters to a young but mature adult crowd.

We like Nori so much, we ordered catering for VETAIR’s annual team beach retreat. They didn’t disappoint; everything looked fabulous and tasted great. Wish I could give Nori Restaurant six stars!
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and personal. NORI is family owned and that shows in every detail. The hand painted murals on the walls caught our attention right away. We later learned they were created by the owner, Nengah, and his brother, which adds a level of character and authenticity you do not often find. It makes the space feel intentional and welcoming rather than generic.
The sushi bar is inviting and gives you a front row seat to the chefs at work. The overall vibe is relaxed but polished, making it a great choice whether you are stopping in for lunch, dinner with family, or a longer evening out. Another thing that stood out to us was the drink selection. NORI offers a strong lineup of wine, sake, and beer, which pairs nicely with the food and adds to the overall experience.
The menu is impressive and well thought out. Sushi lovers will find plenty to enjoy, from classic rolls to creative house specialties and premium options that allow the chef to prepare favorites just the way you like them. What really makes NORI special is that it is not limited to sushi. There are hibachi dishes, Asian entrees, wings for game days, and kid friendly options, which makes it an easy place to bring a group with different tastes.
We ordered several dishes to really experience what NORI has to offer. The Fuji Roll was fresh and beautifully balanced, with shrimp tempura, avocado, and krab stick topped with krab salad, spicy mayo, eel sauce, scallions, and masago. The St Johns Roll was another standout, featuring shrimp tempura, cream cheese, and krab salad, topped with avocado and seared salmon. Both rolls were flavorful without being heavy, and the quality of the ingredients was clear in every bite.
We also explored the Asian side of the menu and ordered the Mie Goreng. This dish alone is worth the visit. The noodles were perfectly cooked and packed with flavor, with cabbage, carrots, onions, a fried egg, and shrimp crackers adding great texture. The level of spice was just right and brought everything together beautifully. We also tried the krupuk, a shrimp cracker that added a fun, authentic crunch to the meal.
Service throughout the visit was excellent. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We never felt rushed and every question was answered with care. That kind of service makes a difference and turns a good meal into a memorable one.
Pricing felt very fair for the quality of food and the size of the menu. NORI works equally well for a casual night out, a family dinner, or a place to bring friends who appreciate good sushi and thoughtful cooking.
By the time we left, we were already planning our return. NORI is the kind of restaurant you want in your neighborhood. Well run, welcoming, and consistently delivering a great experience. We are glad we finally made the trip and look forward to many more visits.
After my favorite sushi chefs left, Nori hired a new sushi chef who used to work at a fancy sushi restaurant. He’s making some great sushi rolls and other dishes too!
I think the price is great for the quality.
They also serve many other asian dishes like Japanese Yakisoba, Thai curry, Korean dishes, and Indonesian food.
Happy 4th Anniversary, Nori Fusion Asian Restaurant!
For the past four years, Nori has been our go-to spot for fresh flavors, warm hospitality, and consistently exceptional food. Every visit feels like coming home — whether it’s dining in, catering for a work lunch, or enjoying their beautifully prepared party platters at home.
Their sushi rolls are always made to perfection, using the freshest, highest-quality ingredients. And it’s not just the sushi — from curries to hibachi, every dish reflects the same dedication to flavor and presentation.
This anniversary visit was a true feast:
Spicy Tuna Roll & St. John’s Roll — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced.
Indonesian Beef Rendang — melt-in-your-mouth beef in creamy coconut milk.
️ Red Thai Curry — rich, aromatic, with just the right kick.
Green Tea & Thai Tea — the perfect finish.
Nori isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a family-owned labor of love, complete with a sushi bar, wine bar, and full-service dining. They’ve brought the best of sushi, hibachi, and Asian fusion to Jacksonville and northern St. Johns County, and it shows in every bite.
Here’s to the amazing owners and staff — thank you for four years of unforgettable meals and memories. Wishing you many more!
