We truly enjoyed our first visit to Nori Nori Ramen. We indulged in steamed Shrimp Shumaiand Cheese Rangoon for starters to share with the table. Everyone enjoyed them, but more so the unique sauces served alongside each dish. The traditional choice of sauces yes, dumpling dipping sauce and Thai red chili sauce, but their own rendition of each sauce truly made them their own flavor. We also shared the Newport News Roll and the Fantasy Salmon Roll. Each was a fresh take in comparison to the traditional presentation. Both are wrapped in colorful soy paper filled with fresh ingredients and topped with homemade sauces. We each ordered a main course as well and brought half home for dinner later! I had the chicken terriyaki and others enjoyed the grilled chicken Ramen and Shrimp Fried rice. All were served in large serving bowls that were appeasing to the eye and easy to maneuver. There are an abundant number if specialty drinks available. The thai tea was good but not even close to being one of the best in the area. The space is inviting and minimal with a great vibe. The walls are wrapped in anime posters that we each liked more than the other. There are two televisions playing anime for anyone interested in a quiet meal without conversation. But it was also a welcomed background temptation. There was a steady stream of to go patrons in and out. Every server was polite, pleasant and attentive. No one left hungry and we all plan to visit again!

Had a solo dinner here recently. Interesting anime themed elements in the space. Captured a bit of the culture, albeit in a unique mashup sort of way. About 8-10 guests at the time when I arrived and a number of pickup orders came in while there. Service was friendly. Greetings on arrival and on leaving. The karaage appetizer was decent. Came with an interesting mayo sauce. The spicy miso ramen was ok. Spiciness was balanced. A bit on the soupier side. Lacked a real rich umami flavor which I’ve noticed in past visits as well with their ramens. Though my standards probably different than most since I visit Japan every year and eat a lot of ramen while there. For Hampton Roads/Peninsula, if you are craving ramen and not too discriminating, Nori Nori may work for you. Also kudos for their weekday 6-8pm discount on drinks and appetizers!

This place is an absolute gem of amazing food, excellent service and a fun anime theme! Our waitress had excellent recommendations and told us to try the gyoza. They were cooked to perfection with a nice sweet finish to them. Definitely dip them in the sauce. The pork bao buns were steamed to perfection and the pork melted in your mouth.
The portion size of the ramen was huge. The spicy miso pork was savory with a nice kick. There was a ton of meat and noodles; they don’t skimp on the fillings.
The Chicken Katsu Ramen came with a whole cutlet on the side. It was perfect to serve it this way to maintain the crispiness of the chicken.
Last, but not least was the Tonkotsu Ramen. This is a smooth, perfectly flavored ramen that has pork belly. A great choice if you do not like spicy food.
I would order all of these again and look forward to coming here again. If you are in the Newport News area, give this place a try!

My experience here was great and better than expected. From the staff to the food everything was A1. I tried some of their apple Sake which was actually sweet and delicious, followed by a Ramune, and warmed up by some hot green tea. Theres multiple sushi rolls to choose from. Many different Ramens including Naruto’s favorite ♡ The Pan Fried pork dumplings/gyoza were delicious and the pork belly Bao Buns were the most tender served on fluffy buns. Its a super cute unique little shop thats playing anime and decorated for any anime enthusiasts to enjoy. Its super comforting and a great spot to visit on a cold day/night. Staff was very kind and knowledgeable, they made some great recommendations. Thank you very much for the meal Nori Nori Ramen!

When i say this restaurant was an experience it cannot fully encompass just how beautifully delicious this blessing of a meal was. I got the chicken katsu Ramen, friends roll, and the tofu it was genuinely one of the best meals ive ever eaten in my life. If I myself could give this place a michelin star I would in a heartbeat. Our waitress was excellent, very nice!

Wow, this place was awesome! There is anime playing the whole time and the walls are covered in anime flags and posters. The Bao Bun comes with three and we’re good, could have been a little more full (being picky). I got the pork cutlet ramen, it was flavorful and filled with ramen and veggies. CAUTION I ended up using the spice on the table and it was really good but had a STRONG kick so be carful before you scoop a bunch like I did. I would highly recommend this place and I look forward to coming again.

Hands down, the best ramen in town! The flavors are incredible, and each bowl is made with such care and attention to detail. The broth is rich and savory, and the noodles have the perfect texture. Stopped in on a whim with my wife. Since leaving NYC years ago finding good ramen has been hard. WOW, have I found my new go-to spot. The ramen was incredible. Rich flavors, great presentation, SOOO GOOD. And the service was top notch. Our server was so friendly and made sure any questions we had were answered. I could hear and see the other staff being just as accommodating to the other guests. Don’t pass this place by. The food and service will keep you coming back.
