We loved it! Decided to check out downtown Norfolk on a Sunday night and grab a bite to eat. We found this listed online, and the reviews were great.

Highly recommended. We went on a Saturday evening around 630-7pm and it wasn’t crowded. We were able to wear shorts and jeans without any dress code issue. The waitress gave us one of their best booths, and she was very attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and had plenty to take home. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect. I had crabcake with asparagus and roasted potatoes. My date had chicken, I think.

Preparing to leave the Norfolk area, Norfolk Seafood Co. was on my list of “I must get there before I go!” restaurants. It did not disappoint! The atmosphere of the lower fining area is definitely speak-easy with original brick walls, nods to nautical lighting, and wooden beams you would expect in buildings of its time period. Upstairs. You will find a totally different vibe, learning toward urban contemporary.

My family and I went here on a Sunday evening to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. We sat downstairs, which was fine. The bar is downstairs. The food was fresh. For appetizers, we had oysters rockefeller and crab spring rolls. They were both delicious. I enjoyed the blackened salmon oscar, my husband had shrimp & grits, the birthday girl had steak and it was tender and my older daughter had the seafood jambalaya. The seafood was good, but she said the rice was a little over. Overall, still tasty.

Very slow the night we went. I had the crab soup and flounder. Meal was good but nothing super special. Been here before. Probably will be a while until I come back.

Most of the food we ordered was delicious! The service was great. However… the atmosphere was underwhelming as we were only one of two tables during prime dinner time. Not lively and dark made the experience less enjoyable.

Fantastic little oyster bar and grill! Great selection of oysters. Raw or steamed options. Also good selection of beer, wine and liquor. Worth a visit if you’re in the area.

I took my parents to Norfolk Seafood Company & Oyster Bar the day after Valentine’s and it was amazing. The food, the location, the design of the restaurant, the customer service. My family and I enjoyed ourselves. My parents both ordered the shrimp, scallops, and Crab seafood combination with lemon garlic butter. As you can see from the pictures I enjoyed my food as well lol. They give you just the right amount of food. We all left satisfied. Our server Candy was amazing as well, very knowledgeable, and patient with us it was our first time here but she walked us through the menu and checked in periodically to make sure we were enjoying our meals. I can’t wait to go back!!

We had a wonderful experience. Delicious cocktails, friendly service, outstanding food. The “seafood salad” was outstanding. The seafood was fresh with a wonderful broiled crust. Shrimp and grits was similarly flavorful. We will definitely be back.

My coworkers and I went down to Norfolk for a conference and decided to randomly eat here. When we first walked in, we were a little nervous because there was not a lot of patrons on the top floor. We were seated on the bottom level where there was a full bar along with TVs and more people. The restaurant has happy hour which has some pretty good items on the menu. The service was really good and I believe our servers name was Brenton. I took video of everyone’s food and everyone said that they enjoyed it. I had the jambalaya that was a little spicy but very good and they had this cornbread that taste like cake, it was the best. Some of my coworkers meals were swordfish, crabcakes, seafood cob salad, lobster bisque, oysters, and shrimp. This place is definitely a calm vibe, with good food and service.
