Very reasonably priced meals. One of the few restaurants open on Boxing Day (in the evening).

We came in, went to the till and waited for at least 5 minutes before someone came and served us. Utensils can be found next to the till, all bunched together. These were not separated, oily and frankly, dirty.

It was quite a busy night, most likely because there was a game happening that night (from what we saw) so we waited 30 minutes+ for our food.

Stiff steak, saltiest and hardest fries that we’ve tried on the whole island, but decent pasta and good lemon, lime & bitters.

Live music kept the people entertained, as well a TV that played sports shows. We did not realise until it happened that there was going to be 2 minutes of silence, which was a nice thing to do. Lots of memorabilia on the walls as well. A nice place to go to with well-priced meals, but we wouldn’t rush back.

Dropped in on a Thursday night & found a mixture of locals & tourists there. Lots of seating available from inside (bar or dining area) or outside on rear deck overlooking the forest (our choice).

Drinks inside at bar were limited but adequate. A couple of wines tried were not to our liking before we landed on a pleasant rose. Various bottled & canned beers & spirits available. Prices fair.

Menu is not huge but good pub food & good prices. Our table enjoyed local fish (grilled & fried) served with different accompaniments, the rump special $25 h a schnitty. Generous servings. Unfortunately a number of meat options were unavailable (fillet, chops, ribs) which was unfortunate. Deserts were limited & appeared packaged.

Ode to the fallen was done at 7pm & was respected by all attendees. Staff were all friendly with a very laid back approach.

Club also offers 2 free pool tables in a semi divided area.

Lots of memorabilia on display & I believe also a small museum open a couple of days a week.

Certainly worth a drop in for a relaxed casual meal with a pub feel.

Best parma on the eastern side of Australia! Beers on tap, good vibes and great view from the deck. What more could you want?

Cheep honest food. You don’t come here for high cuisine but a reasonable meal in an Aussie atmosphere – and that’s exactly what we got. There were 4 of us and we all enjoyed our meals at prices the lowest we have paid on the island. The steaks were good quality, and the lamb shank was very tender. Seating is simple, but adequate and the atmosphere was friendly with chatter between the tables. Friday night raffle followed by a couple singing.

The food here was quite delicious, I had the fish of the day and it tasted great! My partner had the chicken burger which was tasty too. The food did take quite a while to come out, for us over an hour but it was a pretty busy night.

The live music by singer Phong(?) set a great atmosphere for the evening.

Quite a few GF options on the menu as well.

Great food at good prices, cold drinks from friendly staff and all in all a great atmosphere.

Icing on the cake, the respective reciting of the ode each night.

We’ll be back.

Older indoor atmosphere. Lovely memorabilia and a respectful 2 minute remembrance acknowledgement. Scotch fillet and Thai beef salad – good meals, at lower than average prices

Reliable food and well cooked. Best value on Norfolk Island.

Try a few high end restaurants but come back to the rissole for real food, cold beer and great service.
