Im korean myself, I’ve been away from home because of work, and I’ve been looking for authentic korean restaurant and this might be it. This restaurant reminds me of home, atmosphere is nice, but the lady owner seems to be working by herself, so the service might be a little slow. Other than that, it tastes just like how my mom used to cook for me. If you love korean food, definitely give it a try!

We drove up from the Outer Banks and were looking for something different for lunch. Read the reviews on this place which, in my opinion, were understated! The food is amazing!! Decor is authentic and very nice. The seven different “sides” included three different types of Kimchi and were expected and delightful! For two of us including drinks was about $70. HIGHLY recommended but don’t let the neighborhood or exterior put you off.

We lived in Korea before, and we missed Korean food, so my coworker recommended I check it out. So my sister and I checked it out and it was amazing Korean food that we had a long time ago. So definitely recommended for people who love Korean food ❤️ . Mrs. Kelly was so amazing when you started talking to her and her husband’s cooking is amazing too. She was so friendly when you started talking to her.

The sweetest lady to ever exist! We came in 30 minutes before closing, after their kitchen had already shut down, and she still seated us for a fresh dinner even though she didn’t have to. She took her time with my group of friends and served us delicious, freshly made Korean cuisine. The service was fast, thoughtful, and handled with care. She treated us like family and made sure we were well fed. I’ll definitely be coming back 11/10 experience!

This a beautiful and good restaurant! The owner is super duper nice! Their soups are delicious! I personally like the beef bolgogi. The restaurant itself is beautiful, but when I go there it is sadly empty. Norfolk Garden is truely a delicious and underrated spot. Definitely worth the visit!!!!

We just left after eating here for the first time and I have to say it was amazing! Not only was the food good but the service was great! I wish I could respond to the negative comments people have left regarding the service because it was so good! There was one woman serving the whole restaurant and she did an amazing job making sure we had everything we needed. We didn’t even wait that long for the bill but she apologized anyways! She was so sweet and attentive!

Norfolk Garden is an overlooked, hidden little gem in the rough. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but it’s clean, and the food is its own magic.
It was quiet when we went for lunch today. Sadly, the menus now have notices stating you must pay first taped to the front owing to people dining and dashing a little too much. This is more than shameful given the quality and quantity of delicious food served here by the charming unobtrusive attentive staff here. This spot deserves so much more traffic than it seems to get anymore.
Definitely get the Kim-Bap, and try K-22 if you are a stone bowl Bibimbap fan. You will get the full traditional Korean service with tasting dishes first.
Last but certainly not least is the cinnamon tea they bring you as a final digestive. You will not want it to end as it is refreshing and just the right level of sweet to wrap your meal with.
If you’re looking for something local and new to you that isn’t new to try, please give this place a shot.

Great tasting Korean food! Feels authentic, like you’re back in Korea. Exterior is definitely run down and could be off putting to new visitors. But go inside and try it! It’s a little more expensive for some of the meat dishes. My kids love it too. Kid friendly.

This place is a hidden gem in Norfolk, run don’t walk to go eat here! Absolutely amazing Korean food! It was empty when my husband and I went but it was also late afternoon. The only server was the sweetest elderly woman, who is probably an owner. Hands down the best Korean food I’ve ever had (and I lived in Annandale,VA which has a Korean restaurant on every corner practically). Do not be fooled by the exterior of the building, inside is really nice and spotless. I can’t wait to go back!
