At Noor Restaurant, we cook from the heart and invite you to experience the warmth and richness of Somali hospitality through every dish we serve. What started as a dream to share the food we grew up with has become a place where tradition, flavor, and community come together. Our kitchen is inspired by generations of family recipes, each one full of bold spices, deep flavors, and stories from home. One dish we’re especially proud of is our Lamb Shank— tender lamb that’s been slow-cooked and lovingly seasoned with a unique blend of traditional Somali spices. It’s comfort food, the way it’s meant to be. Every meal at Noor is made with fresh ingredients, care, and a whole lot of love. we’re honored to have you at our table

Delicious Somalian food. Generous portions at a very reasonable cost. Can’t go wrong with the skoor which is beef/chicken/lamb served with rice. Chaptis are excellent too, we usually always get extras to take home.

Service is lacking, you have to get up to order and get your food, they will not serve your table. The kitchen can be very slow especially when busy. Go for the food, not the service or atmosphere.

Hands down, the best Somali food in the United States! Every time I’m in Salt Lake City, Noor is a must. The lamb shank was perfectly seasoned and fall-off-the-bone tender. The chicken soup had that deep, comforting flavor that hits your soul, and the fish with pasta? Unmatched. The spices, the warmth, the hospitality it’s like stepping into a home kitchen full of love and tradition.

If you’ve never had Somali cuisine before, this is the place to experience it right. Consistent, flavorful, and made with care. Five stars every time!
Please do not complain if it takes a little while to get your food because the wait is worth it. Everything is homemade handmade..

For how amazing the food is, this restaurant deserves to be more visible, it’s a bit hidden behind Pacific Seas, but it’s absolutely worth finding. I ordered the chicken suqaar and fufu and it was honestly delicious. I’ll definitely be coming back. The man at the front was super helpful with recommendations, the cook did a great job, and everything was clean. The music and atmosphere were nice too. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

My daughter saw the fufu on tiktok and wanted to try it. I drove her 20 minutes to get it. And the lady was so nice to her that she wanted to make sure that she took the time to leave her a review on how delicious the food was and how she was treated. She enjoyed the food and can’t wait to go back and see her again and order it again. Thank you so much for giving her that experience.

We were visiting a friend nearby and decided to check it out, never having tried any African cuisine. Although it looked like a “hole in the wall” we have found that type of place to be most authentic. The food was delicious I had the lamb and rice, both very flavorful. The service was friendly.

Service was a little slow BUT it was just the two ladies cooking and serving. The food is amazing. 100% worth the wait.

The owner was friendly but was working alone, so the food took about an hour to come out. I suggest ordering ahead.
For two people to share, we got beef skoor with saldato and chapati. The portion of beef was pretty small, but the chapati was huge. Next time I would do just the meat with a side of chapati or fufu, because the portions for a meat dish by itself are much bigger than if you get it with saldato. Very tasty though!!
