I stopped by this morning on my way to work( I actually liked it so much I went back after work to snag another one lol) and picked up some donuts along with a few other treats — and wow, every single bite instantly transported me back to the kind I would have in Japan and South Korea. The pastries are beautifully balanced, not overly sweet, and crafted with such care that you can taste the difference.
If you’re someone who prefers pastries that aren’t overly sugary, this place is a must-try. I’ve visited a few other spots on the island, and most were just too sweet for my taste — but this one absolutely nailed it.
What you see in the picture is their Coffee Bun with coffee flavor on the top and nice fluffy inside.
What you also see here is one called Noona Bread and strawberry/cheese strudel. While the Noona bread looks very sweet, it’s definitely mild to medium in sweetness. Almost taste like a chocolate Sunday in your hand is how I would describe it and the Strawberry/Cheese strudel is also amazing and it’s only $1.00!! That’s a bargain for such a tasty treat if you ask me.
The only small downside is the limited parking, but honestly, the quality of the pastries more than makes up for it. Totally worth it.
To top it off, the owners are genuinely kind and welcoming — you can tell they take pride in what they do. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I hope more people give this spot a try!
I came in to try some donuts, never been. The woman helping me was so sweet and helpful, I ordered a boba and said I’d wait a couple minutes for it, as it is being made. I said that’s great. I tasted a gorgeous glazed donut in the meantime. 12/10 recommend!!! Sweet staff
They made six as a test run and were fine with my buying all or none of them.
How great is that?!
You’d better believe I bought 3. I wanted to leave a few for other folks who can’t eat milk products. My husband, who is a pastry hound, agreed that they were wonderful and had no clue until I told him that they were milk-free.
These people really care about their customers and they know pastries!!!
On top of that, Sierra, who runs the front of the store, couldn’t be more warm and lovely.
I would give them more than 5 stars if I could! ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
The owners are amazing and the treats are still amazing, we all still love to come get doughnuts and the cookies and hope to find that immersive and unique coffee experience again. Definitely unbeatable boba
I finally got the chance when I dropped my truck off across the street at Les Schwab’s.
I checked out Noona’s offerings and decided on a pineapple turnover and a Red Bean pastry. To be honest I chose both because I have never eaten either one before.
Red Bean Cakes are an East Asian treat made from red bean paste and wrapped in a soft dough. They symbolize luck, prosperity, and ancestral respect.
When you visit, they have little take away boxes and serving tongs that you use to place your orders into the box. Not everything is available for self selection. Some of the items are behind a glass display case.
The Red Bean Cakes was smooth and silky with a nice soft pillowy dough around it. I took a few bites while sitting at the outside table and the proprietor asked me if I would like her to warm it up. I agreed and a few seconds later she was returning with my warmed bean cake. Maybe I have simple tastes, but I think I preferred the bean cake room temperature. Both ways were delicious, I just liked it a little better before it was warmed.
The pineapple turnover was a joy to eat. I love pineapple and was not disappointed with this turnover! The dough was perfectly flaky the way turnovers should be and the pineapple filling was wonderful!
