If you’re in the Baymeadows area and looking for a reliable dining recommendation, look no further than Noom Thai Bistro. On a whim—and encouraged by high reviews—we stopped in for lunch and were seated immediately. Our server was attentive, personable, and every bit as friendly as other reviewers have noted.

Both our drinks and entrées arrived with impressive speed; I actually timed it, and our food hit the table within 12 minutes of ordering—piping hot and beautifully presented. The dishes came out steaming, and the flavors matched the visuals. Level 3 spice offered a perfect touch of heat, with the option to take it higher for those who enjoy a stronger kick.

The Pad Thai, described as “how mom makes it,” lived up to that promise—comforting, balanced, and expertly prepared. The tofu vegetarian dish was another highlight, featuring crisp tofu that paired well with fresh, well-seasoned vegetables.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the efficient, welcoming service. Give Noom Thai Bistro a try—you won’t be disappointed.

NOOM is the Really truly the best THAI restaurant. It’s a small , I guess family owned, nice restaurant on Baymeadows Rd in Jacksonville, Florida
Please don’t miss to try if you love THAI foods. Services is great. Staff is down to earth.
We went with whole family and try different dishes. They always ask spice level, they also prepare dishes per your requirements, and taste. We are vegetarian, so they prepare our food per our veggie requirements.
I’m posting pictures, video and our invoice/bill, but couldn’t take all pictures of all of our dishes we ordered.
Enjoy the Thai food if you get a chance to visit this restaurant.

This was truly a wonderful experience. The service was delightful and the food was on point!

Usually when I got to Thai places, you can expect and smell the same food. However, this place superseded my expectations. The food was Fresh and wonderful!

The Thai tea didn’t taste like it came from a packaging. The appetizer was hot and good.

I will be coming back. And it’s rare to make me love a place that checks everything off.

Delicious food at Noom Thai Bistro! So many tasty choices. I went with the ole-reliable order of papaya salad and pad Thai.

Papaya salad: fresh, salty, tangy, sweet and spicy! I tried spice level 5, which hit the spot! The bits of fresh red Thai chilies bring the heat! ️

Pad Thai: every bite of chicken was super tender! Flavor 5/5! I went with spice level 3. I liked the extra crushed red Thai pepper flake condiment so I could spice it just right! Next time I order, I’ll ask for the bean sprouts raw and a little less sauce.

I’ll be back for the excellent food and friendly service! I wish they played Thai music though instead of guitar jazz. I thought it threw off the vibe.

Wish I could give 10 stars for service!

My husband is deathly allergic to seafood and nuts, and this is the first place in awhile where I feel like they took it really seriously.

We had ordered the veggie spring rolls, but the owner came out of the kitchen to tell us they use the same oil for frying fish! So we got the fresh summer rolls instead.

My dish had nuts, so they came out to confirm that we weren’t planning on sharing. Pretty much every meal has vegetarian & gluten free options (such as GF soy sauce).

Lovely people, delicious food with fresh veggies, and HOMEMADE SAUCES!? They tasted so much better than your ‘standard’ plum and sweet & sour sauces! So much depth in flavor and the owner says NO MSG EVER.

Jacksonville is sleeping on this restaurant! I stopped in to grab a bite for me and my bf and there was only one couple in there on a Saturday. The atmosphere was nice and clean. Ambiance was set perfectly. Was greeted by the kind woman and sat down to place a to-go order. She was friendly and attentive. I went next door to grab a few things and came back, 10 min max, food was done! She made sure we had silverware and enough sauces. When I went to leave she open the door for me too! Got back to the hotel to eat and this food is amazing! Our families are Thai and it is very close to how mom makes food! I’m glad I stopped there and found it this hidden gem! Thank you to the staff and cook! Happy new Year.

Overall Score: 5.6/10 – A quiet and welcoming Thai spot with exceptionally kind staff, but the lack of authentic atmosphere and average food make it hard to fully recommend.

Atmosphere and Service: 5.8/10 – The staff was the highlight, being some of the nicest and most accommodating people, adding a warm touch to the experience. However, the atmosphere was lacking, with the outside appearing closed due to poor lighting, and the inside feeling bare and without a Thai theme. The classic American 1950s music and the use of Japanese soy sauce didn’t align with the expected Thai dining experience.

Pineapple Fried Rice with Beef: 5.2/10 – A fairly basic dish with some good elements. The beef was tender and had a slightly different flavor than expected, but it worked well with the dish. The large chunks of carrot drew too much attention, overshadowing the other ingredients. Overall, it was decent but not remarkable.

App Tray: 6.2/10 – A mixed tray with some standout items. The wonton in the crab rangoon was thin and crispy, executed perfectly. The rolls were small but packed with flavor, adding a nice touch. The chicken satay was good, and the creamy peanut sauce complemented it well.

Sweet and Sour Chicken Stir Fry: 5.1/10 – This dish was average, with the sauce being a bit overpowering and masking some of the stir-fry’s flavors. The chicken was well-cooked and enjoyable, but the balance of ingredients could have been better. It was okay, but not particularly memorable.

Really enjoyed this spot that has a mixture of Japanese and Thai cuisine.

In a strip mall lighted up like the red light district, sits this gem of a Thai restaurant. Service was impeccable and the food delicious.

For starters, we tried the “pp Tray” which had a smattering of different appetizers to try. It was a good way to be introduced to Noom Thai’s cuisine.

So what about the food:
Three sauces served with the app tray –
**Plum Sauce – sweet and tangy sauce, loved it
**Shrimp Sauce – yes, Japanese shrimp sauce
**Sweet Chili Sauce – traditional Thai sweet chili
Crab Rangoon – delicious version of the Rangoon, favorite of the table.
Egg rolls – tightly rolled mini egg rolls.
Shrimp rolls – marinated shrimp wrapped and deep fried, I missed the marinade, so this one fell flat for me.
Pineapple fried rice – a nice mix of sweet and savory.
Basil Stir Fry – good stir fry with a side of rice, lots of veggies in this dish.
Massaman Curry – dish fell a little flat for our table.
Red Curry – got this dish spiced up, my wife loved it.
Basil Fried Rice – another solid hit for us.
Mango Sticky Rice – perfect preparation of sweet and sticky rice, with fresh sliced mango.

As I mentioned, service was excellent and it was fun to have a mixture of Japanese and Thai foods.

The food was very good. The lunch specials were a reasonable about of food for 13 to 15 dollars. We had the drunken noodle chicken and the beed basil stir fry. The flavors were great and even the vegatables were outstanding. We order the spice medium. My daughter who is not o to spice thought it was perfect but I wished it was way hotter but I love spicy food.
