Nookie’s Soul Kitchen & Bar never disappoints! I ordered the pork schnitzel and it was absolutely incredible — perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, and seasoned so well. You can truly tell the chef is amazing and puts real care into every dish.
My friend got the chicken tikka and it was just as impressive — full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. Every bite was delicious.
The service was impeccable from start to finish. The server was welcoming, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Amazing food, amazing service — highly recommend for a night out in Port Hope! Will be back:)

We came to Nookie’s and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! We got the quesadilla, French onion soup, chicken clubhouse, and asiago chicken pasta — all so flavourful with great portion sizes. The server was super friendly with everyone and made the experience even better. When I asked which soup was better, she kindly offered me a taste of the daily soup to help me decide which was such a thoughtful gesture! I think it was the owner who came out and brought us a complimentary dish of loaded fries with a dill sour cream topping and it was sooo good, I just wish I remembered what they were called.. Highly recommend!

Everything was delicious and I loved how they had multiple options! My favourite is probably their butternut squash Ravioli because it was topped with a bunch of neat toppings: apple, pecans, sage and goat cheese and the filling had leeks! So fascinatingly delicious, I didn’t think it would go together, but it did! Their grilled cheese also had apple, so that was a nice surprise too! I will say that the cheese quesadilla was too cheesy for my liking, but it IS a cheese quesadilla that isn’t skimping out on the cheese, so go for it if you like! Overall 10/10! Our server told us about a festival happening at the waterfront in Cobourg and a bunch of other things we could do, so we decided to try them out! The waterfront festival was lovely 🙂 service 10/10, food 10/10, atmosphere 10/10, we sat by the window! I’d love to visit again for new creations!

We stopped by Nookies during our visit to Port Hope and had a great experience. We tried the chicken wings, fries, and chicken pasta. The wings were flavorful and cooked just right, the fries were crispy and well-seasoned, and the chicken pasta was hearty and satisfying. The food overall was fresh and enjoyable. The service was decent—friendly staff and reasonable wait times, though there’s a bit of room for improvement in attentiveness. Still, the cozy atmosphere and quality of the food made up for it. We’d definitely consider coming back next time we’re in town.

Tried this restaurant over the weekend. Food service is good. The server ask for our order after 5 seconds of handing the menu to us. She overdid it by coming to us every 5min to check how we are doing. It took awhile to have our order got serve, more than 30mins. Servings are good. But got shocked when I got only 5 pcs of small shrimps for Coconut Shrimps for 14$! Ridiculous! Otherwise it was a pleasant experience. But would may be having second thoughts on going back.

We stopped here for dinner while traveling. The waitress was amazingly friendly without being overbearing. This place has a huge menu, so there is something for everyone, but I’ve learned means nothing is particularly great. Overall, our food was decent, but not amazing. The onion rings were good but came out too soon and not very hot so were clearly not made to order. I had the curry rice noodles with seafood. The curry sauce was very sweet. However, the dish had a generous amount of seafood and fresh veggies and overall was decent. My husband’s ribs were fine but served with generic and under seasoned fries. I’m not sure I would return for the food but it was fine for a quick dinner while traveling.

Nookie’s Soul Kitchen & Bar is the perfect spot to stop before or after the Capitol Theatre, or for a fun night out with family or friends! The food was cooked perfectly, the service was amazing as always, and there are great daily deals. Plus, the beer is cheap and refreshing. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

The food was absolutely fantastic! We ordered spinach dip, and this is a must if you happen to visit this place. Butternut squash ravioli and Asiago chicken pasta were also delicious. The menu has an extensive variety, they offer options from most popular global cuisines.
