Noodle Squat PTO is a cozy spot that delivers big, bold Thai flavors. I tried the pork dumplings and was instantly hooked—the wrappers were delicate, the filling savory, and the fragrant dipping sauce was absolutely incredible. It’s the kind of sauce you want to bottle and take home!
The Tom Yum noodle soup was rich, tangy, and perfectly spiced, and the Pad Kra Pao had that signature Thai holy basil kick with just the right amount of heat. Every dish felt thoughtfully made and full of authentic flavor.
If you’re craving Thai comfort food with real depth, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu!

My friend and I enjoyed the Lunch Special: Pad See Ew (small salad, lemongrass soup, spring roll and entree). It was very fresh, served hot and delicious. I took home the leftovers.

We had heard many positive reviews about this restaurant after watching a video shared on Facebook. The comments were overwhelmingly favorable, and the food showcased in the video appeared very appealing. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet those expectations.
Four of us visited on Friday for lunch and ordered two regular beef Pad Thais, one shrimp Pad Thai with glass noodles, and one pineapple chicken rice dish. We also each ordered appetizers. My sister chose the fresh spring rolls and was told they would be served quickly, while the rest of us ordered deep-fried spring rolls and two orders of shrimp rolls, which would arrive after the fresh ones.
Approximately 20 minutes after placing our order, my sister was informed that the fresh spring rolls were unavailable and had to change her order. The spring rolls we received appeared to be small, store-bought rolls—only three pieces for $9.00. The shrimp rolls included four pieces but consisted solely of shrimp, deep-fried, with little flavor and nothing particularly noteworthy.
The main courses were equally disappointing. The two beef Pad Thais were served about 10 minutes before the remaining dishes, resulting in us nearly finishing our meals before the others were served. The Pad Thais were bland, served in very small portions, and contained only a few small pieces of beef. The shrimp Pad Thai with glass noodles was dry and overcooked, and the shrimp were tough and rubbery. The pineapple chicken rice dish was the most disappointing, as the rice was noticeably cold—especially surprising given it was served later than the other meals. It included 4 tiny pieces of chicken and 3 chuncks of pineapple.
Overall, we left feeling very disappointed, as the quality, portion sizes, and service did not align with the reputation we had heard or the expectations set by the online reviews.

Couldn’t recommend this place enough. It was our first time here for my mom’s birthday. The food was delicious and very fresh but what stood out to me the most was the attentive and warm service. The servers were very friendly and definitely made us laugh a few times. They were accommodating when I brought in a birthday cake for my mom and even lowered the lights and sung her happy birthday song. Additionally, we had lots of entertainment from Martin! Our waitresses 4 year old son, he was so adorable and very well behaved and sweet. He even sat and ate cake with us, it definitely made our night special. Thanks again to the hard workers behind noodle squad we definitely will be back

Didn’t think I would find a Thai noodle spots here in Peterborough…to be so delicious! Definitely recommend the savory pork & Super crispy !!! Tom Yum soup was also very flavorful. Wish they open one in Toronto !!!

Ate here with my daughter after first night art tour in December. Possibly the best Thai food I’ve even eaten. Atmosphere was relaxing and food was fresh and absolutely scrumptious! Hostess and wait staff were very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this place. I will definitely be returning.

The first bite was underwhelming at best. We used to love this restaurant, it was our favourite pad Thai. Saw they re-opened and on our visit to ptbo we were really looking forward to enjoying “that same great taste” that real Thai cuisine delivered. Price went up, portion size went down (quarter of what we used to get) no lime or peanuts, noodles were el dante?? Not even fully cooked, hardly any chicken, hardly any sauce. So sad, that pad thai will just be something that we reminisce. For the price tag not worth it.

Food took an hour and a half to arrive and by then, it was only the appetizers and none of the main dishes. No updates provided either by staff as to explain the slow service. Other parties also voiced the same complaint. While there were other guests in the restaurant, it was not nearly as busy to explain an hour and a half wait for chicken skewers. We ended up leaving.
I had visited this place in December of 2025 and must point out that the service was the complete opposite – it was quick, efficient, and the food was delicious. I’m not sure what happened on Jan 16.
This is an odd restaurant.

I have ordered takeout here a few times and finally came to sit in. It was amazing. The staff are always so friendly and the food is incredible. You honestly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!
