While in the Denver area I sought real, authentic Chinese/Szechuan and this place had decent reviews, so I came here. The staff was friendly enough, but the food wasn’t all that great, maybe for typical Americans looking for basic Chinese, but it definitely didn’t meet my expectations.
I tried their chicken with serrano peppers and the peppers were tasty and spicy, but overall, no flavor to the dish at all. Their spicy cucumbers were really good though.
Overall – Nothing special.

As genuine Sichuan food as one is going to find in the greater Denver area. The restaurant should change its name to inform potential customers that this is first and foremost a Sichuan ‘small plates’ (xiao cai) eaterty, albeit one with great noodle options including a very solid dan dan mian. The home-wrapped boiled dumplings (shui jiao) are meaty and with the thick skin indicating they are of the north China variety. How the chef and his wife run this place alone and manage to get the American-portioned dishes out quickly is amazing. Don’t look for an elegant atmosphere, but the food easily makes up for it. I’ve tried many of the newer trendy Chinese restaurants in the area and they don’t hold a candle to Noodles Express in terms of authenticity.

Enjoyed our meal and would come back, but would not go out of our way. The eggplant and pork was the stand out dish here. We also had dumplings and Dan Dan noodles. Nothing was overly greasy or salty — was a big fan of that. Overall this was good Chinese food.
Storefront and restrooms are not spectacular but that’s not what we came for.

The cabbage was phenomenal. Loved everything we ordered (Dan Dan, cabbage and spicy beef). Service was fast, food was fresh and tasted amazing. Will definitely be back to try everything! The menu seems authentic and unique. Was too spicy for me, but so good I dealt with the pain.

There was something hard in my shredded chicken. Now my tooth feels off the following morning. The sesame chicken was average. Cheese ragoons were good. Egg rolls were fresh but flavorless. The menu is heavily pork and beef.

I have been here a few times, the eggplant garlic sauce dish is my favorite so far – the Dan Dan noodles and ma po tofu are also excellent. Would be an awesome spot for a group to do a family style meal.

Finally got a chance to try Noodles Expeess. Everything was delicious. My favorite part of our meal was the pork dumplings. The service was outstanding. When I went to pay the woman who helped us was excited to see my beaded wallet and she gifted me one of her own. What a great experience.

One of the BEST homey, cozey & more traditional Chinese restaurants you’ll find here in Denver.
While yes, they do offer the Chinese-American staples, the heart and gems of this establishment lie in the homestyle Chinese dishes.
Their mapo tofu is PERFECTLY savory, szechuan spice, and full of mala. Their beef noodle soup is very beef forward, but not salty or overpowering by any means.
We also thoroughly enjoyed the tomato beef noodle soup. A fresher, more tangy soup if you’d prefer it over beef heavy soup.
My in-laws Shanghainese, so they’re not easy to please & they were also very overjoyed by the food.
It surprised me when the Denver scene overlooks cute mom & pop Asian shops like these. Definitely give it this place some love!

A family styled Chinese restaurant ran by a couple and the food feel very traditional and authentic. They are very friendly and we had a good conversation with them while dinning there.
The eggplant and dumplings are pretty good!

Overall, great place for Chinese food too! There’s more than just noodles to this place. The boiled beef (not sure correct English name) and chicken vegetable dishes we ordered are pretty good. Again, like most places, could use more beef in their boiled beef, but the taste is close to the real deal.
Plus is that it’s a nice storefront with it’s own parking lot and guest bathroom.
