The Dan Dan Noodles had just the right amount of spice and richness, while the Taiwanese Beef soup was deeply flavorful with tender, melt-in-your-mouth beef. Every bite was a treat.
The cozy atmosphere and friendly service made the experience even better. If you’re looking for exceptional noodle dishes, this spot is absolutely worth the drive. We’ll definitely be back!
That was funny to me because she’s not even a cook — she never once stepped into the kitchen, so who is she to decide what they can or can’t do? The nice cashier lady then said they could remove the shrimp but couldn’t put it on the side. So we decided to remove it.
My husband ordered a noodle bowl, and it also comes with shrimp. She said she could put the shrimp on the side for him… okay, now I’m confused. Why could she do it for him but not for me? What’s the difference? She said his dish only came with two shrimps. I asked how many shrimp are supposed to come with my fried rice, and she said “a handful.” (And yes, I saw the picture — they put a lot of shrimp.)
I didn’t ask why they could remove the shrimp but couldn’t give them to me, because I didn’t want to ruin our date. But I told my husband this wasn’t right. I worked at a Thai restaurant and Chinese restaurant for three years, and I know how things work — they definitely could’ve given me the shrimp.
Anyway, this will be our last time. The noodles and fried rice didn’t taste that great either, so I’m fine going back to our usual place. I’m Asian, so I know when the food is good or not.
We had the crispy pork belly, Spicy Sour soup and Crab Rangoons. I loved the concoction of the Spicy Sour soup with all the toppings – peanuts and pickled veggies with Bok Choy and your choice of two types of meat. I had shrimp and tofu. The spice was the right amount for me. Heat but not overpowering (I’m a wimp!)
The Crab Rangoons were crispy and tasty.(And they were *not* greasy like I’ve experienced at other places). My husband enjoyed the pork belly with lots of steamed Rice and Bok Choy. He had enough for leftovers. It was our first time here and we will be back.
