This restaurant left a lot to be desired. I took a chance while I was in Baytown as I saw they had various locations around Houston.

As we walked in the hostess/waitress looked at us and kept asking “what?” at least 4 times before she realized we wanted a table for 2.

We were seated and we felt like we were inconveniencing the waitress as she seemed to not really want to be there at all. It felt like wanted to take our orders, and leave our table ASAP. Maybe she was having a bad day, but it did not seem like standard service.

The “fresh” soup dumplings were so thick and chewy. Normally soup dumplings are supposed to be thin and delicate but these were the complete opposite.

The beef noodle soup lacked flavor all around. I ordered it with wide noodles as the server told me they were around half an inch wide, my noodles came out and they were over an inch wide… which is not what I expected.

The scallion pancake was the best item I had that night and that says a lot since it was probably frozen/pan fried.

The poor service coupled with the food definitely left a bad taste in our mouths. I wouldn’t go back or recommend this place to anyone as there are plenty of other soup dumpling restaurants in the Houston area.

I’ve enjoyed the food here. It has great Hot and Sour Soup in my estimation. Favorful. It was better and different a few weeks ago. It’s like another recipe is used now, but it’s still better than other places. The fried spring rolls are a bargain compared to other places. However, the center isn’t cooking as fast as the outer part. The center is doughy like they were fried too fast, or the rolls start frozen, but the inside isn’t quite right because it’s still thawing.

Anyway, it’s a great place to eat. I get the feeling the food is freshly prepared.

Again I’m eating here. The food is even better! Wow the hot and sour soup… si thick and flavorful!!!

The Spicy Sesame Sauce Ramen and Fried Chicken Spring Roll were so good! I’ll definitely be returning here for more.

Disappointed yet again. I was an enjoyer of Noddle Master since their opening in Baytown. Recently there was a store closure due to “maintenance” but after the reopening the food has not tasted the same. I have retried a few dishes and they all taste like a memory of what their flavor used to be. After speaking to an inside informant it seems one of their cooks was let go. I believe he was the reason to the flavor profiles and his absence is noticed. Sad to see this place going downhill. I will cherish the memories.

Edit 12/15/25 – Ordered again after 2 months. I am pleased to say that improvements have been made. Food quality is back to what I remember.

Food individual was good but as a dish or whole it was odd. Like the ingredients are cooked separately then added to a plate like a Chinese subway. Also the egg ordered with my soup was served cold on the side, which I tired adding to my soup but it was not hot enough to warm the egg. The portions are large and the price is fair but I most likely wont return.

We visited Noodle Master tonight as returning customers. We had eaten here when they first opened and really enjoyed it, so after the reopening we were excited to give it another try. Unfortunately, this visit was extremely disappointing.
The ramen is not what it used to be. The broth lacked the depth and authentic flavor we remembered, and the marinated egg had almost no flavor at all. It tasted as if it hadn’t been marinated long enough. The fried fish did not taste fresh; while we understand fresh fish may not be available every day, a noticeably fishy taste suggests it shouldn’t have been served.
There were also issues with our entrees. We ordered General Tso’s chicken with noodles and sesame chicken with rice, but the rice and noodles were swapped between the dishes. Additionally, the green onion pancake had very little green onion, which took away from the dish.
We truly used to love this place, which makes this experience even more disappointing. After tonight’s meal, we likely won’t be returning. We do hope the flavors and recipes are still being adjusted so the restaurant can return to the quality it once had.

So happy this place is open again… The family and I missed it so much. It also seems they have stopped playing Jamie Oliver on the TV. Not sure if that is just for this visit or not. Until next time……

I went to the restaurant today with my sister-in-law and my baby nephew, and we had such a wonderful experience. The food was absolutely delicious, but what truly made our visit special was the incredible service. Our server, Dear, was the best server I have ever had. She greeted us with such warmth and made us feel instantly comfortable. Dear took the time to go over the menu with us, explaining the different dishes and helping us decide what to try. She was so attentive and genuinely seemed to enjoy chatting with us.
What really melted my heart, though, was how sweet she was with my nephew. He couldn’t take his eyes off her as she walked around the restaurant—it was the cutest thing! Her kindness and cheerful energy made the whole meal even more enjoyable. I will definitely be coming back here, not only for the amazing food but also because of the wonderful service Dear provided.

I love this place. I usually get the dumplings to go but today I wanted to be adventurous. I asked the server, Sara, to surprise me. She knocked it out the park! The spicy popcorn chicken was sooo good and the right amount of spicy. Paired well with long pulled noodles. And thank you Tistis for recommending the onion pancakes as the appetizer. I left fat and happy
