Authentic Chinese restaurant. Our head chef was the executive head chef of famous restaurants and hotels across China. He is particularly known for his broth, which you can taste in the Beef Rib or Lamb Rack Noodle Soup. His Singapore Rice Noodles is also a hit.

How amazing is it to have a place like this right next to the university! Honestly, you should come here with two stomachs, because you’ll want everything at once. The portions are huge — like the chef personally decided, “You’re a student, you need to survive.” I’ve already been here twice, and I’ll definitely be back again, because the food is so good it makes you want to applaud with your spoon.

Get soup. It’s big and tasty for a fair price.
I got the tomato egg noodle and it was wayyy too sweet. The other noodkes had good chew.
I would come back, but the wait is quite long (10-15 minutes) for a Chinese restaurant.
Order on iPads and quick servers.

*Fyi before leaving a review I do try places 2 times prior to making a review* Love the noodle soup here. Everytime I am in Berkely I always stop here hungry or not. Its a small hole in the wall restaurant with very small tables that are cramped together. Its a nice place but the lack of room takes away from it. Wait times vary depending on what time you get there. Also, customers are very close by, standing in line staring at their phones or at you wating their turn to finally sit down. You order and pay on a tablet once seated. After trying almost everything on the menu, my go to is just the Beef noodle soup, spicy broth and thick noodles. It does not lack flavor and is never overly salty. The beef is always tender and noodles have the right amount of chew and taste fresh. On the side, the house wontons in chili sauce. A little salty and not really spicy in my opinion but flavorful with a good chew from the dough. Can be a little loud but once your food arrives I have noticed people stop talking to their companions and just eat. Good sign. This place is has always consistently good.

Tbh I liked it less than I expected to, but mostly just because I’ve never been a big fan of noodles, esp ones that are this chili oil forward. Everything was done well: beef are super tender, noodles are perfectly cooked and chewy, broth is super flavorful – just still not my type of thing. The lamb skewers are pretty dry and salty but I do love how cumin forward they are

The beef brisket soup in the 8h broth was a 10/10, no notes. Right amount of spice and loads of flavour. It’s pretty big so we shared one. We also got the lamb skewers to go which were amazing as well. We reached 5 mins before opening on a Saturday and still had to wait about 15-20 mins.

Really yummy noodles!! A bit greasy but overall very quality ingredients and the beef literally fell apart in your mouth! Although it was a long wait, I think it was worth it!! Very large portions for the price.

It’s the only, therefore, the best Chinese restaurant like this in the area. However, it is not the most authentic and the broth tastes very sweet and not fresh/authentic. It’s generally okay, but don’t be super excited about the restaurant. Getting take out is probably easier so you can skip the dine in lines. Medium recommendation only.

Stopped here for lunch while in the area exploring and saw the line out the front. We figured it must be good if people are willing to wait.
We jumped in the line and waited about 1 hour to get a seat for a table of 4. It was a busy Sunday afternoon. We were not sure if waiting was going to be worth the meal but I would definitely say it was. My wife and I enjoyed it and so did the kids.
We got the chicken fried rice some gyoza a beef soup and a beef and rice bowl. Every bit of the meal was great. The fried rice was simple but full of flavour. The gyoza were fat and fresh, the beef was nice and tender and the soup was rich in flavour and very large in size. We had plenty to take home with us. This place is busy for a reason, great food and great serving sizes
Get in the que it’s worth it!!

Dining at Noodle Dynasty isn’t just about delicious noodles—it’s about feeling genuinely cared for. On a recent visit, we were met with outstanding service that elevated the entire experience.
Our server was a shining example of thoughtfulness and grace. With multiple orders, dietary preferences, and a few add-on requests along the way, they remained incredibly patient and accommodating. Whether we needed extra plates for sharing, bowls in different sizes for the kids, or a second round of tea, every request was met with warmth and a smile that never wavered.
Even when the table felt like a juggling act of small changes, they navigated it effortlessly—balancing attentiveness with calm professionalism. It’s rare to find someone who can make every guest feel like a priority without ever seeming rushed or overwhelmed.
It’s this kind of genuine hospitality that turns a good meal into a memorable one.
