This place is my new favorite happy hour place. Tried it on a Monday and the fish was fresh and the price was great. $1 salmon sushi. I normally never spend less than $40 before tax and tip when I got out for sushi but it was under $30 for tax and tip included. I ended up going back later that same week to take advantage of their $15 lunch special which was so filling. I recommend it. Great value!

Really good happy hour with lots of options to try. You can go again and again for an entire week and still try new things on their menu. Fed family of 8 for $200 during HH. Sushi was fresh. I loved the hamachi carpaccio which was a sashimi with chili garlic crunch and some sort of sweet topping. Amazing kiwi mojito that reminded me of a caipirinha on a Brazilian beach. Service was very fast and friendly.
Looking forward to next time!

Service was awesome and the food was tasty. Very unique take on some of the flavors of the dishes. Edamame is usually presented just steamed but this had an almost dry fried taste – very enjoyable! The most popular item on their menu is the Signature Scallop Risotto. The chili butter surprised me because it had a little of a kick. The flavor was good but the risotto itself seemed a little tight. Overall a great experience and the prices were pretty good.

To me, this is one of those places where Happy Hour is truly, happy.
The food are great. The skewers are fantastic. Honestly, the best I’ve tried so far in SF. But again, everybody has different taste buds, so decide on yourself.
Not only the happy hour menu are great, but the regular menu too. I remember we’ve gotten the risotto, and the sukiyaki as well, they’re both so good.
This place is definitely worth a repeat visit.

Got here at opening so we didn’t have to wait long for a table. Service were excellent and helpful. The food were tasty and were reasonably priced. Though I would not get the pork cheek again. The pieces I had were tough and chewy.

Very creative Japanese cuisine. The presentation was equally as pleasing as the taste. I loved the scallop not so spicy risotto and they made a chirashi the best I’ve had. Eggplant was Also super tasty. All at a reasonable SF price !!

Not worthy…they charge 4 dollars for a time oyster which should be 1-2 dollars according to the market. I don’t mind if a restaurant is expensive as long as the food is good, but everything here is so small and taste average. Honestly i felt scammed, do not recommend this overpriced place.

This restaurant is overpriced too much, we ordered 4 oysters, scallop rice, and chicken sampler. The oyster is $4 each but they are so tiny not worthy at all. We spent 90 dollars with tip, do not recommend

the service was really good, the waitress was sweet and tried to make up for the food. the food, however, is completely different from the old location. The flavor was bad…all their yakitori is just with salt, no soy glazed, the chicken heart was kinda stink and hard, the scallops was fishy, i ordered risotto and couldnt finish it (in the past,I finished the whole risotto myself ) I believe they have changed their ownership (similar to Bubu?) because the quality is not as good as before. I wont be back, and honestly really sad, this was my favorite yakitori spot in japantown…
