Spaghetti that we ordered had very little sauce on it. For $15 a plate I guess I would expect more. Id only advise you to eat in as takeout isn’t the same tier quality as their food is if you dine in. Completely different experience ordering out vs dining in.

Nonnos is by far my fiancé and I’s favorite Italian restaurant in Madison! We have never had a bad or even sub-par meal here. I would absolutely recommend the Capellini alla Checca – the sauce is divine! Paired with a red wine, it’s out of this world. They don’t have the best atmosphere but it’s a really minimal issue when you eat the food. Raphael is amazing so if you get him as your server, you’ll be sure to have a great experience!

Their bread is brought out with olive oil and balsamic. The risotto di mare never had a bite without seafood, and it wasn’t mushy. The tiramisu was properly soaked, Couldn’t be more authentic, I’ll recommend this to my recently-not-vegetarian-anymore friends.

We’ve been pleased ordering take out from Nonno’s, but last weekend we dined in with a group of ten for a special occasion. The food was great, the service was great, and the atmosphere made for a very memorable evening. The servers were very attentive and all of the meals came out at the same time. We ordered a variety of entrees and appetizers and everyone seemed pleased. I highly recommend them.

Came here recently for our first time to eat a late lunch. We were greeted by a very nice server with a lovely smile. Wish I could remember her name! She brought us warm, delicious Rosemary bread with dipping oil and balsamic. I ordered the very best rigatoni dish I have ever tasted, called Rigatoni Salsiccia. The creamy red sauce was so smooth and flavorful, like a family recipe handed down from Italy. My son also loved his Penne Genovese, so much that he almost licked his bowl clean! We decided it was a great place to frequent regularly.

Visited Nonno’s during restaurant week. We ordered off of the regular dinner menu, and enjoyed the food. Staff was friendly. They brought out complimentary bread and olive oil. I thought the fried calamari appetizer was delicious!
