Nonno Alby’s is a Calabrese trattoria serving wood-fired artisan pizzas, garden fresh salads, gourmet burgers, oven roasted wings and Italian desserts. Rotating craft beers and wine are always on tap. We’re located in the heart of West Reading on the corner of 7th and Penn Avenues. One of the many things that makes Nonno Alby’s special is our pizza bar. Our customers are given the opportunity to watch our pizza chefs hand-craft each and every pizza from scratch as it bakes in our high-temp, wood-burning oven imported from Italy. We’re named Best Spot for Pizza and takeout by voters of Berks County Living Magazine’s Best of Berks awards. Operating since 2013.

We’ve come to this restaurant now twice and both times we left completely satisfied. The best stuff they’ve got here are the pizzas, but they’ve got really nice appetizers and one of the people we came with this time got a smash burger that was apparently delicious. Our server Lilly was kind and attentive. We look forward to coming back to Nonno’s every time we’re in town. The pizza toppings are just so good and fresh.

This place become one of my top favorite Italian restaurants. Their Bianca pizza is amazing as well as their Nonno Albys flavored wings. The only thing that could be better is the attention to service, I say this because nearly every time I dine in it could be just the two of us, walk in and wait looking around for an employee who doesn’t just zoom past us without acknowledging us. Usually the waiting time is several minutes before finally being asked “how many?” Other than that, the atmosphere is nice and the food is really good.

The Margarita pizza is yummy, its mozzarella from is buffalo milk, and its tomato sauce has a real taste without the sweetness that’s typical in a pizza sauce… a good thing in my view, since that means perhaps they don’t add any sugar to the sauce!

OMG, This is the place to go for authentic pizza, it was so good! The Truffle Fries and Blue Cheese Wings were absolutely incredible as well, Our server was amazing and provided above and beyond service! Tip them well, they are excellent

Ordered takeout on a business trip. The team was very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious. I got the pizza diavolo and it was just the right kind of spicy. I also got the full sized arugula and endive salad which was the perfect accompaniment to the spicy pizza. I didn’t even manage to take a pic of the pizza before I ripped into the first slice lol but the empty space looks like a heart and this food definitely unlocked my heart. Thanks Nonno Alby’s!

Their dough is very good. Airy yet chewy. An excellent NY style dough.
The topping choices are top notch as well. Not your typical choices. Loved the Tartufata pizza.

I mean this in the nicest way possible, I can’t stand the taste of your pizzas or cannolis. You seem like a wonderful restaurant to eat at, but taste must come first. Perhaps I’ll give you a 3rd try in a few months, but this is the 2nd time I’m been completely disappointed.
