We got here after unsuccessful attempt to get a table at another restaurant near by. The place it’s really nice and clean, atmosphere it’s great, quiet place and good to have conversations. The food 10/10 they make their own pasta in-house every day. Jose was the one who helped us during our stay, really nice person and got me a dessert because it was my birthday (really nice of his). Overall i recommend the place, 10/10 in every aspect.

Nonnina was a nice dinner, good food, good service, but nothing memorable. With so many great Italian food in River North and surrounds it is hard to standout and make me think of a restaurant to come back to.

Not a fan of Italian food unfortunately but this place was okay. Not a lot of options though. Service was great and because the weather was nice, we sat outside. The bread though was amazing so fresh and yummy. The caesar salad was good but I wish there was an option for crispy chicken. Anyway if you like Italian definitely checkout this place!

The food was served extremely fast (the starters seemed to be already prepared in the kitchen). The main dishes were prepared while we were eating the starters. The food quality was good, could’ve been a bit hotter when served (e.g. Fritto Misto). The service was a bit weird and tried to hurry us to order and then to pay and pushing the 20% tip, not letting me decide.

I made a reservation for four people, but only three of us ended up going for dinner. You will see the bill shows four guests, but I guess it shows that because the reservation was for four. This place has a nice cozy atmosphere, it’s not noisy so that was great. The staff are all friendly and have a positive attitude. This is an Italian restaurant, the food was pretty good, it’s not the best in the city, but we enjoyed it. I really liked the grilled Octopus appetizer so I may go back and order a few of those and some drinks. The margaritas were good as well. For our entrees, the three of us ordered a Margherita pizza, Gnocchi and a Pappardelle. All the entrees were tasty. My wife and daughter split a gelato which had three scoops and I ordered a pear sorbet which was good, that was a first, never had a pear sorbet before. Our bill for three people came to $177 not including the tip. None of us have any complaints about this place and we will go back again.

We had such high expectations for this eatery, and while there were a few highlights, such as the delicious octopus and creamy burrata, unfortunately, the pasta left us a bit underwhelmed. It lacked that unique touch we were hoping for and seemed like something you could easily whip up at home. And not in the good way either—it actually tasted like a pre-made sauce. Despite this, we still recommend giving their octopus and burrata a try for a truly delightful experience.

Beautiful spot for lunch! The interior is super cozy and well decorated with foliage. Servers are also super attentive and quick to get food out.

I’m not kidding- this is THE best gnocchi i’ve had in my entire life. each flavor melted together so deliciously i couldn’t decide whether to scarf it down or slowly savor each bite! i will genuinely think about how good this dish was forever. the only shame is that it is a seasonal dish

Fantastic place for a nice relaxing and cozy dinner. The homemade pasta is phenomenal. I had the bucatini with truffle and mushroom that was fantastic. Decent selection of Italian wines. Very friendly service from the front and the bar

Went for lunch. The fritto misto and sauce were EXCELLENT. Best calamari + shrimp I’ve had in a long time. They even give u fried lemon slices in it hehe. The chopped salad was also tasty and the meatballs were solid. Staff was very polite. I look forward to going back!
