4 stars on the pizza.

Ordered a large cheese, large half pep half meatball.

The crust was delightful, fresh, cooked correct and the cheese was on point, the sauce didn’t disappoint.

The chew on the crust was magnificent.

I will try their Italian pasta dishes and report back.

The pizza has jumped to the top of my list for the Stoked Oak Ridge area.

I picked up on others reviews that they own Village Pizza in the Stoke so I’ll make sure I do a side by side but I do remember them being different when I tried VP earlier this year.

The downfall was the wings, got a 25 piece, half plain and half Buffalo.

Granted chicken is expensive right now but they were so over cooked it was like chicken jerky so I won’t knock the price.

We toughed it out and ate a dozen, the other we ended up tossing.

So…… pass on the wings but get the pizza, yeah your going to pay more than your nationwide chains but it’s .

UPDATE 7/6/21. I’ve reviewed Nonna’s before but I tried something new. Pasta Shrimp Fiorentina. There was no spinach but the garlicky shrimp in a creamy Alfredo sauce was fantastic. The only drawback was the shrimp were tail on and this was REALLY messy. The complimentary bread was good but they have replaced the oil and pesto with oil and balsamic vinegar. Even with repeated stirring, it just wouldn’t swirl together so you really only got the oil on your bread. I ordered the Mermaid drink special. It was $9.00 which would’ve been fine if it had a kick, but it was like drinking kool aid. I wouldn’t order that again. We were enjoying a nice evening at an outdoor table and they weren’t busy at all, so I don’t know if it was the server or the kitchen, but the timing of the food coming out was very rushed. We ordered an appetizer to share and before we really got started, the salads came out. The main course came out while we were still eating the salads. Because she hadn’t removed any of the empty glasses or the appetizer plates, it was really crowded. She was very nice but maybe a little under trained. We didn’t hold that against her and we will go back.

Get ready for a shock… ready? You don’t look ready. I’ll wait. Ok, now you’re ready.
We both ordered something we’ve never had before. Whaaat? Hubs got the Pasta al Pomodoro with spaghetti. This translates to fresh cherry tomatoes sautéed with basil olive oil and garlic, topped with fresh mozzarella rounds. I got the Chicken Vesuvio with fettuccini. It was basically the same thing but mine had lots of melted mozzarella and two chicken breasts, pounded thin and fork tender. Momma loves her noodles, cheese and meat! Both meals came with soup or salad and a lot of fresh bread with basil oil dip. We both got the salad with bleu cheese. Without asking for extra, they give you TWO cups of dressing and it was loaded with big chunks of bleu cheese. The salad was very cold, fresh and crunchy. The bleu tasted homemade. Plus, they leave a container of Parmesan cheese on the table. I love that! Let’s face facts. When you only get a sprinkle of cheese, you eat that off the top and then…sadness. This way we got to sprinkle, eat, repeat. The food was delicious. The only thing that was leftover was one chicken breast. (I ate that the next day in a tortilla). Our wonderful and funny server, Brendan even offered us extra bread. We didn’t take it but I wanted to. They have a very pretty patio seating area and the weather was perfect. Even though the mask mandate had been lifted, employees were still masked.

Hey Brendan? If you get to read this, we were the couple that supported your Team Hidden Valley Ranch rant.

My daughter took me out for a late Father’s Day meal at Nonna’s. The menu is extensive & the food is good. We had various entrees: bolognese meat sauce spaghetti, lasagna, Philly cheese steak, lobster ravioli, pasta arriabata, pizza & salads. All good! The pasta arriabata needed more prosciutto or salt. The salads were a nice medley of greens, cucumbers, carrots & olives.

The waitress was extremely helpful & welcoming. The bartender mixed some good drinks! I would recommend. A 3 out of 5 ranking is very good. I reserve 5 stars for those restaurants that are few & fantastic! Give Nonna’s a try!

This is a good Italian Restaurant for the area. Nice and clean with good staff. Most of the time they are spot on, but they missed it this time. I ordered the Zuppa di Pesci. Not sure what I got, but it tasted good. The name means Fish Soup. It should be in a broth and served in a bowl. The dish I was served was on a plate with thick sauce. I really tasted good but it was not Zuppa. Will definitely be back, but will get something else next time.

Order anything other than their Subs….

Their Pizza is Amazing (Ahhh-THAT Crust )—was even better when it was the Monday Special!!!

One night, my daughter accidentally ordered us a Pepperoni and Bacon Stromboli instead of our usual PB Pizza….WELL….It tasted like double stuffed ooey-gooey juicy pizza love! Sooooo Good!!!

Their Fettuccine Alfredo is Dreamy and Plentiful (Yeah, I know that’s the preggo emoji, but that’s how my belly feels after eating the Fettuccine—don’t get me wrong—not complaining—so yummy!

Hands-Down, NT has the BEST Bruschetta I’ve ever tasted—and the Balsamic Glaze—Oh-My-Goodness, I could bathe in it! —YES, It’s THAT Good!

Make sure you don’t skip dessert! We usually take something to go—unless we’re wearing stretch pants The Cannoli is a MUST Calorie Splurge—a crispy shell filled with the perfect creamy blend of heaven!

So as you can tell…
WE LOVE NONNA TERESA!

So why did I only give them four stars instead of five…well, because of our take-out order tonight.

Started to place our order online, when I noticed the prices were considerably different than the take-out menu we had. So I decided to call our order in. When she gave me my total—it was $13 MORE than what it was online!

I explained that was more than I was expecting to pay based on their take-out menu & online prices—the very ‘snippy’ employee told me that they had raised their prices recently—which I understand—but not THAT much! Fortunately, the total came back down around the neighborhood I was thinking it would be once she reread the order to me. Note: everything has increased by approximately 50¢-$1.00.

Wanted to try something new tonight—even though the rest of the crew ordered our go-to’s—I should’ve stuck to our tried and true! ‍♀️

Instead, I ordered the Ham and Cheese Sub—I just KNEW it was going to be ….I REALLY wanted it to be amazing…but much to my disappointment, it was just ‍♀️

Their Ham and Cheese Sub recently went up in price by $1.01 (plus another $1.75 for fries instead of chips) ….AND there was literally one piece of ham on my sub! (See Pictures)

It wasn’t necessarily a bad ‘sub’; but, it wasn’t a HAM and Cheese Sub, and it definitely wasn’t a $9.50 Sub! #wheresthemeat

Nonna Teresa I love for its amazing cuisine, upscale environment and customer service. Try the lobster ravioli, ugh fresh and so delicious. Never have had this quality of both food and service. I also frequent Village Pizza your other business and hands down the best pizza, wings and apps I’ve ever had. Take your special person to dine here, I promise you’ll thank me for the brownie points you earned

Ate here for lunch today with my son. We were seated quickly with 2 waitresses and only 4 tables being used. We thought we would be able to grab a quick lunch since they were not busy. Unfortunately, we were mistaken. The restaurant’s atmosphere and decor are the reasons for the 2 stars. Love the theme throughout the restaurant and low lighting makes it inviting and cozy. I ordered the Caprese Salad with chicken and my son ordered the Spaghetti with Meatballs. We waited 40 minutes for our food and my son’s spaghetti was warm, not hot. The chicken in my salad was tiny bits of what tasted like gristle. My son’s salad never came. The presentation was nice but looks are deceiving. These 2 meals should have easy, quick, prep. Two tables seated after us received their food 15 minutes before we got ours. This was my first visit and likely my last. This would probably be a good place to stop for a drink, dessert, or coffee.

Had a coupon so I thought we’d give it a try…bad idea. The calamari seemed like it was frozen from a bag. The breading on them should’ve been for mozzarella sticks. The rest of the food was mediocre at best. We had the Chicken Parm dinner, Chicken Parm sandwich (not bad), and the tortellini aka vodka (which hardly had any flavor). Would’ve been better off at Olive Garden.

Ambiance was nice and the waitress was attentive.

The food was as authentic as they come. The service was amazing too! My husband and I went for our anniversary and we felt like we were back in Italy. The owner is from there and is extremely knowledgeable of Italian food and wine. The limoncello cake was out of this world! This will be our new local spot!! 5 Stars!!
