I have been here many many times but I am writing this review because my waiter/bartender made this visit extra special. The food was amazing as usual but this time, I had Xavier helping me and he made my visit feel like the first time. He was the perfect level of attentive and checked on me at the perfect time. He knew when to fire off my main dish after my appetizer….perfection. To make it better, brought me dessert from Silo which is my favorite. Perfect evening thanks to Xavier!!!

Went during culinary week and tried their special. The spicy soup was delicious. So was the olive paste they served. The braised lamb was also well done. Great atmosphere for a nice romantic dinner.

Our family was passing through on our way back to Arizona from Florida and needed real food. Car snacks and fast food were making us all grumpy. Since we traveled with our dog (70 lb Collie) we need somewhere with an accommodating patio. We found Nonna Osteria online and decided to give it a try. Right off the highway it was conveniently located. Our server greeted us quickly and gave us recommendations from the menu. Everything was fresh and delicious. The complementary tapenade and focaccia was amazing! We ordered the Gnocchi alla Romana for an appetizer and loved the sweet caramelized onions with the richness of the semolina gnocchi. We had 2 types of pizza, (Rucola and Funghi) both delicious. In addition, we had the Pomodoro pasta and the Salmone and both were excellent. We had no trouble with our dog dining with us on the patio and will definitely stop by again if traveling through San Antonio.

10/10 can’t wait to come back ! Moe was our server and he was OUTSTANDING ! Everything came out hot and fresh. And his recommendation were SPOT ON ! My husband and I would come back just based on his service alone . ☺️ Everything was super TASTY . I came here with my husband for lunch and we were not disappointed. The gnocchi was FANTASTIC 10/10 dish , it was so creamy and pillowy soft we also ordered a margarita pizza flavors were on point, however the center of the pizza was a little bit mushy just needed 4-5 more minutes in the oven but honestly still so tasty and Moe recommended a raspberry ginger cocktail . That drink was out of this WORLD it was so nice we had to order it TWICE they also serve bread and tapenade before the meal arrives and that was also very delicious I do think the portion of tapenade is a bit larger than the bread portion I was left wanting a little more bread because the tapenade was soooooo good now onto desserts , my husband ordered Gelato and he was in gelato heaven 10/10 I ordered a chocolate mousse dessert …. Which I don’t remember the name ,however that dessert was so PERFECT loved all the textures and that light and decadent chocolate mousse was just SUPERB the Ambiance is also a 10/10 very comfy ,cozy and elegant can’t wait to come back !

Overall, a decent experience with some highlights. The menu is fairly limited (under 20 items on paper). The meatballs were cooked as requested but could have used more flavor. The bass entrée was prepared well, though the portion of fish felt small compared to the vegetables, and the pizza was good but not especially memorable.
Dessert was the standout — the gelato and tiramisu were excellent. The atmosphere is attractive, parking was easy, and they offer a full bar with a nice tequila selection. That said, plastic chairs felt slightly out of place for the ambiance, and the overall experience didn’t quite match the pricing.
A nice spot with potential, especially for dessert and drinks, but a few refinements would elevate it.

They did mess up my steak 2 times in a row on the third time it was flattened so thin and the mashed potatoes serving was super small. The cheese board and the salad was wonderful but I didn’t get to eat with my wife due to having my order messed up. They did comp my steak but I did explain to the waiter exactly how I wanted it before they brought it out. Also the macaroni was very bland. I don’t recommend this dish.

We went for our Anniversary dinner on Saturday early evening. I cannot express how much we loved this restaurant. Though our server was soft spoken and kind of hard to hear she was perfect. And the food oh my, from the Tapande and bread to the gnocchi dish to the Tiramisu, again perfection. If we lived in San Antonio we would definitely be regulars.

A lovely, laid-back spot for lunch or dinner. The atmosphere makes you want to linger a little longer, our server delivered excellent service, and every bite hit the mark. It’s the perfect place to slow down and reset in the middle of a busy day.

Everything we ordered was amazing, but the star was the tuna tartare-fresh, balanced, and absolutely delicious (and I’m not usually a raw fish fan!). Huge thanks to our fabulous server Carrie for recommending it. The arancini, lamb shank, lobster ravioli, tiramisu, and gelato all delivered big flavors.

The menu offers authentic Italian favorites, deliciously prepared & sizeable portions. Extensive wine selection at very fair prices. We loved our server Kerrie. She’s extremely knowledgeable in not just the menu items but in Italy itself, having lived there for several years. Personable service & excellent food ~ add this to your list of must visits!!
