I did bring home a Nutella croissant and a morning bun and both were fantastic. The croissant was generous with Nutella fillings. If I go back, I’ll try maybe a pasta dish.
Good, healthy, adequate portions meaning not too large but you can definitely share.
Brioche french toast blew me away, insanely good!!
Carbonara was authentic, creamy and flavorful.
Mafaldine was so delicious I almost did not want to share:) Their pasta dishes are perfectly al dente, the way it should be.
Croissant dish melts in your mouth, well balanced meat and cheese ratio.
Steak and frites- yummy!!
The only downside was the coffee. I had the “Banana Buzz,” which sounded promising but turned out quite watery and underwhelming. Coffee may not be their strong suit, but thankfully the excellent food more than made up for it.
Be prepared for a long wait if you’re going for brunch as it gets busy! Still, we’ll definitely be back.
And zero stars for everything else……
The WORST customer service in all of LB.
I was looking forward to dining with my family on MLK day, but instead my family brunched without me . I was initially sitting with them at a four top table , that would make us 5,. We were waiting for our drinks and food when the manager Daisy approached me and asked for my chair in order to set up for a larger party. I informed her that our wait was over an hour and wasn’t able to wait any longer for a larger table that would comfortably seat us because my daughter joined us at the last minute. I was willing to squeeze in and join them. She said she needed the chair to set up for a larger table and proceeded to forcefully grab the chair and relocate it. I was humiliated , my family was uncomfortable with this unprofessional behavior and I had no other choice but to sit in the waiting area. The entire 40 minutes that my family brunched , that extra chair stood there , untouched and unused. The bill arrived and still the chair that was taken from me remained unused. My food was packed to go. I was never offered further accommodations.
The bill was walked over to me by my son who then informed me that he had found a black Curley hair in his “Fileja” , and had reported it to the waitress Marissa.
I was expecting some kind of partial compensation but none was offered or given, I was charged for his dish.
I asked if the kitchen staff wore hair nets and she confirmed with a yes but that there was someone wearing a baseball hat w/o a hair-net. Marisa then informed me that the manager had looked at the small Curley hair and had insisted it was lint from the “ black micro fiber towels “ they use in the kitchen. BTW micro fiber towels are lint free. I would discourage anyone from patronizing Nonas.
This was a humiliating and horrible experience. I will not be returning to Nonas.
I was visiting a friend nearby, and we decided to give this place a try I’m so glad we did! It did not disappoint. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the food speaks for itself. A special shout-out to our waitress, Kaylee, who was incredible she checked in on us regularly, made sure everything was to our liking, and even brought us some extra bread when we needed it. She also introduced us to their homemade hot sauce, which was absolutely delicious such a nice touch!
If you’re in the area and love authentic, flavorful food, I highly recommend this spot. It’s a hidden gem that you won’t regret trying!
Got myself a cup of hot cocoa as well which was equally delightful.
