We went with two other couples for our monthly new restaurant night out. Though it’s a BYOB, the food is delicious, fresh, well-prepared and wonderful. I was having a very bad day and simply ordered a caprise salad and sausage and pepper hot hoagie which was to die for. Other dishes ordered were veal scallopini and eggplant parmigiana. veal parmigiana and other dishes. Everyone was heartily satisfied. Best to go on a weeknight.

Small strip mall pizza restaurant. Good value. BYOB. Some dishes were very good, some were not. Excellent pasta fazool soup. Overcooked pasta. Complementary bruschetta.

The bruschetta toppings had a really good subtle flavor that I can’t grasp. It may have just been from the fresh parsley and red onions combining really well. Overall though, the bruschetta wasn’t very good due to the hard, tasteless tomato pieces, and the bread, which was not good quality and was toasted to crouton consistency. A salad comes with the entrée, but it should have just been skipped. It was airline quality; see picture. Balsamic vinegar dressing did not taste like it contained olive oil.

The roasted vegetable appetizer was wonderful. “Verdura Alla Griglia”. “An assortment of grilled vegetables (eggplant, zucchini, portabello mushrooms, roasted peppers and red onion).” Vegetables were sliced very thin. Roasted just right. Not too much garlic.

We both had pasta dishes, and sadly the pasta was overcooked in both dishes. The tomato sauce here is very good – rich, thick, and flavorful. My dining partner thought the sauce may have been over-salted, as she was very thirsty after our meal. I had the mussels and shrimp over spinach special, served over linguine. This dish could have used more pasta; by the time I finished, there was still a lot of broth remaining in the bowl. The broth had good flavor. I would have appreciated a refill of our bread basket at this point. The shrimp served in this dish were excellent quality and cooked just right. They had a nice sweetness. I would have enjoyed it more if the tails and last shell segments of the shrimp had been removed, since this is not a dish you want to eat with your fingers.

Dessert was a “limoncello flute” – lemonchello gelato swirled with limoncello sauce and whipped cream. It was a lighter desert, and pretty good.

Very busy during dinner and not enough staff. Long waits. Bruschetta served complimentary was very good, the salad you could skip-Romain, 1 cherry tomato , 1 slice cucumber and some croutons, dressing didn’t help much. Rolls were good but not served with olive oil. Entrees were fine. Sitting here still waiting for the bill.

I’ll note this review may be low because I had high expectations, but the food was downright poor compared to other Italian restaurants in the area. The risotto was literally just white rice. Rather than sausage crumbles, it was chopped up like a hot dog. The service was great but it couldn’t make up for the food.

The food was excellent! The pizza crust was crispy so delicious. The desserts we presented beautifully and were so good. I loved the bruschetta that was given to us when you first come in and are looking at the menu.

If I rated on the food alone it would have been rated far beyond excellent! However, dine in service was horrible. Our waitress was rude and completely disrespectful. Table side manner was awful and we had to wait a while for just water! No one even asked us if we wanted anything beyond water which I had to ask a few times to be refilled. When ordering desert the waitress grabbed the menu out of my hands after ordering. Honestly, I felt as though the waitress taking my orders was annoyed I had my children there too. She was not friendly and very cold toward us all. My check was even dropped in front of me with a short thank you and her rushing off. I noticed other patrons there too that were getting better service than what my family and I received.

I was very pleased with the food; however I was not impressed with the dine in service. Because of the service, I likely won’t be back for dine in again anytime soon.

The food was wonderful! I highly recommend getting the gnocchi- it’s homemade and yummy. The arancini was delicious. Everything is yummy. I went in for lunch, but I’d highly recommend this as a date spot or to go with family. Friendly staff, yummy food, quiet and comfortable atmosphere.

Our experience at Nonna Giovann’s Pizzeria started off slow due to it being busy but after some prefectly fresh hot rolls, nice fresh salad and a sip of good chianti, we enjoyed one of the best Italian meals with fresh, rich and balanced flavors.
Definitely call ahead for reservations at peak times when planning to dine there. Either way, its well worth the wait and the trip.

An informal date night landed us at Nonna Giovanna’s. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. The side salad was chilled with dressing on the side. Warm rolls with butter and complimentary bruschetta was a nice start to our dinner. Nonna’s is a BYOB so we brought a fantastic bottle of wine we purchased from a trip we took to the Finger Lakes. It was a wonderful experience.
Update: Because of our previous positive experience we invited another couple to dinner tonight. Sadly, it was such a disappointment. There were only two other customers in the dining room and when we went to order two pizzas, we were told that we could not order pizzas on Friday because there was only one person making them and he had to make them for take out orders only. Unfortunately, they lost us as customers.

This is a wonderful BYOB restaurant run by Authentic Italian Immigrants. It may not be noticed in a small strip row off Limekiln Pk. Not many restaurants these days serve included salad and bread. The platters are large in size. They have a menu with many varied choices. It was my birthday, and I had the best Salmon ever — a version generously stuffed with crabmeat and spinach. Then a delicious dessert – homemade Ricotta Pie with a candle followed. Check this Restaurant out.
