I wanted to try something new, the place looks pretty decent but it is tiny. The service was ok, not great. The food was way over priced and did not impressed me. My son ordered shrimp pasta, the tails were still attached. I ordered spicy pasta with shrimp, same thing tails were attached mind you there were only about 6 shrimp. One more shocking surprise they put strings of red onion in the pasta ??? I have never seen that before this made the taste weird. Never going there again.

Not sure what was worse, the food or the service. We went in before a local event at Buda City Park to eat and was very disappointed. Our waiter was either new or just uninformed as she was unfamiliar with the menu or bar options. Once we finally received our food the pasta was warm at best on the outer portion and cold on the inside. The salad was just the opposite. When the waitress came to clean the table she didn’t even comment on the almost full plates of food and quickly handed us our check. I wouldn’t go back and would recommend the Mexican restaurant down the street.

We went early on a Saturday evening and the server was quite attentive and knew the menu well. The place was at least as clean as any of the chain restaurants in the area. My wife really enjoyed her salad. My Spaghetti Bolognese was not that great. I think next time I will try their marinara with meatballs instead.

We have been customers of this restaurant for several years and had never seen the RUDE side of the place as many other reviewers had experienced – until this evening. The angry little man at the door was rude as soon as we entered as others were exiting. Sure the place is small and was full of folks but to be jerked around by this little dude with a towel, ordering the door to be closed before we were even through it and then to be ordered away from one of the two vacant tables.. man, this is a small town restaurant with big town bad karma. We did make it to Ilario’s in Kyle and the experience was friendly, the food great and the service excellent. Darwin or karma will take care of Nonna Gina’s, I will not be there when it happens. Ilario’s is a better experience. Enter at own risk into Nonna Gina’s.

Very disappointed. Have been once before and thought the food was good, wanted to eat there last night and when we got there, they said they have no high chairs! My son is too small for a booster seat! What restaurant in a family oriented suburb doesn’t have high chairs!??? Extremely disappointed. Will never return, even when my son is out of a high chair.

It really must take a coward to turn your back on 7 ladies eating at your restaurant and call them B*&ches! This is what the owner of this restaurant called 7 local ladies after they questioned a charge for a condiment on their bill. Shame on you for being an eyesore on the good people of Buda, TX. I will never be a customer of yours. What a shame!

Very friendly staff and service, and the food is excellent. Real italian food in Buda would not be the first thing you would think of but the food and atmosphere is excellent. It does get busy on the weekends but if you really want the food and are patient, then it is well worth the wait!

VERY RUDE! Just walked in to ask for a table and the only waiter (with mustache) I was able to see told me in a harsh voice, “We have all this people to sit can’t you see? You need to make reservations.” Without another word we just walked out.
