This was a lovely spot for a late dinner. Everything was plated in a nice way. I had a steak meal and my partner had a risotto, both were excellent. Beware the food does take some time to come out of the kitchen depending on the dish it send, based on others receiving their orders before ours, so don’t be in a rush if you plan to eat here. Great walking and transit access as well.

I love traditions, and Italian cuisine has always been one of my favorites. Here, you can truly feel that tradition is respected and honored. Italians taught us that in the kitchen everything has a purpose—nothing goes to waste—and that respect shows in the flavors, the execution, and the overall experience.
One of my favorite dishes is the Linguine al Nero di Seppia. It has a true sapore di mare—that deep, authentic taste of the sea—that instantly took me back to family gatherings from my childhood. Comforting, nostalgic, and beautifully executed.
You can forget many things in life, but not where you had a great meal and felt genuinely happy.
To end on a high note, fare la scarpetta—cleaning the plate with bread—is the Italian way of saying the food was too good to leave behind.

Proper Italian food with some new flavor. I was surprised with one of the best beat salads I’ve ever had and by far the best beef carpaccio in years. the sweet duck ravioli is an acquired flavors, but worth trying I’ll definitely be back. The service was top-notch and the scene felt authentic. And don’t forget to try the soup. The soup on its own was worth the trip.

I am still stunned, this meal was stellar and so memorable. From top to bottom! The ambiance is so comforting. The bread was like a cloud with a perfect salting and slight crunch. The presentation of the dipping oil/vinegar was pretty, delicious and fun to play with.
Now this pasta…. let me tell you… phenomenal!!! I ordered the ravioli d’anatra because I love duck and this blew me AWAY. The taste of the savory and salty of the duck melting into the tangy sweet of the pear and port wine reduction was something I could’ve never expected. Plus, the ravioli squares were browned hard and perfect and topped with a succulent dollop of truffle butter. The sweet port wine reduction elevated the savoriness of the pasta and really went well with the crunch at the end, which rounded out the bite. 20/10!! My cocktail was also delicious and perfectly balanced! Genuinely can’t wait to come back here.

Food is 9/10, service is 6/10. Understaffed without a doubt, there is one server working the entire restaurant. She does her best but is simply overworked. The server is nice though.

We had pizza and pasta. The flavor of the pizza was very well balanced, first time having pizza with pumpkin and it was surprisingly good. The pasta was terrible. Overcooked and basically tasted like bad ramen. Service was good and the place was okay. Wouldn’t come back and wouldn’t recommend!

Our family had been craving good Italian cuisine for a while. We happened to be vacationing in San Juan and decided to try Nonna’s on a whim.
The atmosphere was classy and understated. The front of the house staff was warm, efficient, and worked together seamlessly.
The food…oh the food!! It was AMAZING!! The wine was well selected and each dish had the perfect balance of being plated beautifully, all of the ingredients were fresh, home made, and complimented each other. The dessert was to die for and we walked away thoroughly satisfied.
We’re not only sad to leave PR, but to know that we won’t return to Nonna’s in the near future. It is a must stop for anyone looking for a classy meal off the beaten path!

Excellent place. From the time we walked in the door until leaving the service was amazing. Our waitress was attentive, offered recommendations from menu, etc. the food quality, presentation, and taste was amazing. Would highly recommend this establishment.

Average tries…worth a visit though. Limited menu but some outside the box menu ideas. Ask for the daily specials. Difficult if you want to modify some menu items ,since the menu is limited it would be nice if you’re allowed to modify. We asked if 1 dish can be NOT made spicy they said yes however it was made spicy. So my wife and I switched dishes. Their gelato is top tier excellent and we were comped the gelato due to the main dish mix up. It was good however left wanting more. And Pizza was not avaible on this visit.
