Located within Mitchell Intel Airport is another iteration of the Bartolotta Family suites of restaurants in the area. It feels like a real sit down restaurant serving both breakfast and lunch. The meatball parm and balsamic vinegarette mixed greens was a perfect sized lunch and not too costly on the pocket. The dining room looks empty from the photo taken but 20 minutes earlier, it was packed with patrons. It has a nice, full service bar. Sojourners returning to their home are able to purchase 12 packs of New Glarus Spotted Cow here.

I really enjoyed the bartenders they were a lot of fun. The food not so much. I think because its an airport the owners don’t think people care.

The perfect stop for a bite to yet or a drink before your flight! You can even purchase a case of Wisconsin’s New Glarus Spotted Cow that’s only sold in Wisconsin. The caprese salad was just the ticket when I visited today.

To top it all off the service was fast and the bartender was so kind and hospitality.

Give this one a skip in the airport. The food was mediocre and the cocktail was just okay. The orange slice on the drink was dehydrated and tough while the pizza was greasy and light on flavor. The highlights were the delicious meatball chunks and the sauce.

Nōnna Bartolotta’s – Milwaukee Airport, Concourse D
July 2025

Overall: 4/5 – A comforting Italian layover with just enough charm to make you forget you’re in an airport.

After a flight and before a bus ride to Chicago, I needed something hearty and hassle-free. Nōnna Bartolotta’s delivered just that—quick seating, clean surroundings, and a dish that held me over without weighing me down.

Chicken & Pesto Farfalle – $26
3.5/5
A generous bowl of pasta with plenty of cheese and a pesto that leaned creamy and satisfying. It wasn’t the most seasoned dish I’ve had, but it was filling and warm.

Ambiance – 5/5
For an airport restaurant, this place had options: bar seating, hallway tables, and a peek into the open kitchen (which I always love). It was busy, but not chaotic, and everything felt clean and well-managed.

Service – 4/5
I was seated immediately and my check came right on time. The server wasn’t chatty or overly informative, but they kept things moving—and that’s exactly what I needed in transit.

If you’re passing through Milwaukee and need a quick Italian fix before hitting the road, Nōnna Bartolotta’s is a reliable stop. No frills, no fuss—just a plate of pasta, pizza, etc before the next leg of the journey.

We were seated and reviewed the menu. We have a gluten allergy. Only thing on the menu we could have was a salad. We left without ordering anything. We were disappointed since the website showed entrees that would have worked. Unfortunately these entrees are no longer offered. Our server was nice and we liked the venue. Only wish they had a better selection.

This was a bright spot in our disastrous day of travel. All the food we got was delicious. The drinks were well made. Amanda was wonderful, great service. Would definitely recommend!

I came here at noon on a Sunday. I got sat immediately. Food took a while to come out. My pesto pasta with chicken tasted great though. Given that it’s in the airport it was expensive. The sandwiches are more fairly priced.

Let’s start with the good stuff and the reason they got any stars at all. The French Toast were made fresh and were cooked to perfection. The syrup was warm and there was plenty. The bacon was nice and crisp as promised.

The server took my order and brought my drink quickly but that was the end of quickly. You better not enter this establishment unless you have a good 45-60 min before your flight and this was breakfast time! My drink was never refilled frankly she never stopped by my table again until I checked out. I sat at my table for several minutes looking for her then attempting to make eye contact with one of the other servers indicating I was ready to check out. That service told another person who began the check out process until my server showed up. My server brought me the check out device and promptly left again which was fine since I was not planning on leaving a tip by this point. I had to leave my table and go find her so I could have her print me out a receipt. The food was good but don’t go here unless you have lots of time to kill.

The pasta I ordered was $21 dollars. It was noodles, basil, olive oil, garlic, parm and chili flakes. I get it, I’m at an airport. You’re gonna charge me insane prices for something I could make at home for 4 dollars a serving. Fine. But it wasn’t hot, it was unceremoniously plopped in a bowl, needed salt, and had WAY too many red pepper flakes. I don’t mind spicy, but I don’t need a bowl of flakes to crunch on. The photo attached is how it arrived. (I just added the fork.) I mean, I guess good on you for making like 15 dollars a plate I guess.

The servers/bartenders were LOVELY. Sociable, exactly the amount of interaction each customer was looking for.
