Nonesuch River Brewing has a full service restaurant in Poland, Maine! Located on Middle Range Pond off Route 26. 600 feet of waterfront property offers beautiful outdoor seating in the spring and summer and great views plus easy access to ice fishing and snowmobiling in the winter! We brew all our own beers at our brewery/event venue located in picturesque Scarborough and serve a combination of elevated classics and unique dishes created by Head Chef Joseph Bellman, made from scratch using locally sourced ingredients. Nonesuch Brewery in Poland, Maine is a gem! Their fish & chips are perfectly crispy and flavorful, and the chimichurri tofu is a delicious option for plant-based eaters. Don’t miss the homemade ice cream sandwich for dessert — it’s the perfect sweet finish. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make every visit enjoyable. Highly recommend!

At first they wanted to seat us in the middle of the room by the incoming hallway and we suggested no thank you. We already had a couple friends that had visited the restaurant that week so we knew what to ask for and what to not regarding our tastes and their suggestions. The small cup of fish chowder tasted like milk and flour with no seasoning at all. I had to ask the bartender for a shaker of salt and then I didn’t even finish it all. Please work on that. My boyfriend had the Cuban sandwich with the onion strings and both of those were very good. We started with the timberwood mushroom toast which was very tasty and my only suggestion to the lady that checked up on us, which was not our waitress, I did suggest if they toasted it very well it wouldn’t have gotten so soggy that we needed to eat it with a fork and knife and not have been able to pick it up as toast. I had the lobster crusted fish. It was on a bed of risotto that was overwhelmed with red pepper and shallots to the point that I picked out every single red pepper and a shallot and tried to enjoy what was left of the risotto. The fish was slightly overdone as the lobster crust was actually very crusty, which dried out the fish a little bit. I will say the young girl that waited on us was nice and the other staff that brought things to us were very nice and I do hope that they take our suggestion of seasoning the chowder and laying off the red peppers and shallots in the risotto. I would have rather had plain risotto and brought out the flavor of the lobster in the fish than everything being overwhelmed by those red peppers.

We have eaten at a couple Nonesuch locations and the food is always fabulous! This particular location also has a gorgeous view and outdoor seating. We sat inside this time though as outdoor was full.
We got the BBQ chicken sandwich, Caesar salad, brisket Mac & cheese, truffle fries, & cheesecake. Total was $98 (with 18% tip). I find it’s hard to find proper cheesecake in Maine but their’s is truly the best! It’s so flavorful, fluffy, and creamy. The brisket Mac & cheese was the shining star of the entrees. Truly amazing! Highly recommend!
Our only really complaints are that our waitress, Chloe, came to our table an over abundant amount of times but never once filled up our waters..? & our second was that when we went upstairs (where the restrooms are located), the upstairs part of the restaurant smelled awful.. distinctly like a spoiled diaper

We recently tried Nonesuch Brewing, and we are VERY impressed. The customer service is excellent and the food is wonderful. We usually order takeout rather than dine in, and every time we’ve ordered from here the food has been fresh and hot.
Ordering online earns you rewards too, which is a great bonus! They have the best fish and chips and the best pizza I’ve had. Since trying them a few weeks ago, it’s become a weekly stop for us—honestly, more like a couple of times a week.
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. We are truly impressed!

I came for the Valentine’s Day 6 course dinner.
This was my first impression of this restaurant and I must say I was over the moon impressed. The cooks came and spoke to the guests. Servers were attentive! The fire place was such a beautiful touch. It over looked the lake! The food was unmatched to anyplace around this area. I recommend it to everyone!! Can’t wait to go back!

Good spot for take out. We had the fish and chips, fried onion rings, pizza and the fall salad. Everything was pretty good. The onion rings were my favorite part of our meal. The portions are very large and we were able to split everything. The pizzas are good size too. The staff was great and made sure we had utensils. Unfortunately they were very brittle plastic but that’s not their fault. Overall, good experience. They even drew some cute pics on our to go containers.

Enjoyed our dinner. We sat upstairs where the bar is, they had live music. Good atmosphere. Drinks were great. Food was really good, portions were large. They have a really nice 1st floor dining room and seating outside. Staff were very friendly and fun.

Excellent wait staff. Probably the best scallops (small plate version) I’ve ever had. What kind of magic is in the thin fried onions?! So delicious. Parmesan truffle fries, could have licked the bowl clean but I’m a lady! Fresh ingredients, everything made with love. Nice view of the lake and will definitely come back on a sunny day to enjoy the outdoor seating.

Lovely little bar and eatery! The drink specials were incredible! The pomegranate margaritas were to die for!! Ill be back for that one, for sure! Out server/bartender upstairs was pretty great too! Loved the cards and cribbage board too 🙂 great experience overall. 6/5 stars
