Nona Blue Modern Tavern Restaurant – Orlando, FL | OpenTable
Reviews
The food is consistently excellent—fresh ingredients, great flavor, and thoughtful presentation across the menu. You can tell real care goes into both the kitchen and the bar. The cocktails are well crafted, the drink selection is solid, and everything pairs perfectly with the vibe of the place.
Service has always been friendly, attentive, and professional without feeling rushed. Whether you’re meeting friends, on a casual date, or just grabbing a bite, it’s a reliable go-to that never disappoints. Highly recommend if you’re in the Lake Nona area.
We stumbled upon Nona Blue Modern Tavern for the first time while at the Orlando airport — we were hungry and found it on OpenTable. The airport was hectic, so I called to move our reservation, and the girl on the phone was an absolute doll! She was so understanding and mentioned she picks her brother up from the airport all the time — such a sweet and personal touch.
When we arrived, she seated us in an amazing booth. My husband and I had the best time. The restaurant is beautiful, with a relaxed atmosphere that’s hard to find in an airport setting. Every staff member we encountered was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly.
The food was excellent, the cocktails were creative and fun, and we loved the iPad menus — such a cool modern touch. We’ll definitely be back to try their brunch next time we’re in town.
Thank you, Nona Blue, for such a great experience — go, you won’t be disappointed!
There are new dishes on the menu and they kept their famous meatballs and mama’s meatloaf. They even made meatloaf sliders and those were delicious! Our service was patient and kind as we had a party of six and we were all not there at the same time, we were one of the last diners on a Tuesday night and they still waited on us with a smile and didn’t make us feel rushed. Everything we had was delicious!
The drinks, as always, were on point. I had a Jack and Coke (added an extra shot for just $3), and my husband went with the classic margarita — consistently good every time. The weather was absolutely beautiful, so we sat out on the patio and enjoyed a relaxing afternoon at one of our favorite spots.
The only downside, they don’t offer Military or First Responders discounts.
We have a toddler who’s at that age where sitting still isn’t exactly his strength, but we still want to enjoy a night out as a family. Our server, Bibi, went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome. She brought our son stickers and crayons, made sure he had milk, and even quickly put in an order for mac and cheese when he suddenly decided he was hungry again after saying he was “all done.” She had it out to us in less than 10 minutes—before our own entrées arrived!
As a parent, I’ve never experienced that level of kindness, patience, and empathy while dining out. It genuinely meant so much to us and made the whole evening feel special.
The food, as always, was amazing (the wings are a must!), but the service truly stood out tonight. Everything was wonderful. We’ll definitely be back.
