We ended up coming here , looking for good ramen place in the area. This place has curry ramen. Not many places in the area has that. But taste wise it was okay and not as savory as expected. I asked to make it spicy. It was not spicy at all. Also we ordered sushi and sushi was even below the normal taste. They can definitely add more spices in the broth and more toppings options like fried garlic, bok choc, and a many more other options.

I had the chance to try Nomu Ramen, a small, locally owned Korean American business, and I’m really glad I did. The food was fresh, flavorful, and kept me wanting to go back for another bite. The calamari was a standout and something I’d highly recommend. I also really enjoyed the cold soba noodles, this spot easily makes my top three places in Illinois for that dish.
The service was solid, and the atmosphere brought back memories of having ramen while living in Japan and Korea, which made the experience even more special. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any dish you choose at Nomu Ramen!

While I preferred the Nomu Tanmen spicy noodle over the Miso and Tonkatsu ramen options, the dish itself was a mixed experience. Sushi is average. The ramen broth was decent, but the noodles were too thin for my liking. Unfortunately, the service was quite slow, with a 45-minute wait between ordering and being served. On the plus side, the space is excellent, with a well-arranged, uncrowded furniture layout. The staff was generally good, though they lacked a personalized touch. Overall, I’ve had better ramen in the area.

Looking for Vegan Ramen nearby and found this restaurant.
I ordered Yasai Shio Ramen. It was tasty. The noodles are made of Kale which is very easy to enjoy. The broth has umami flavor. This dish is a good option for vegan people.
My husband and my son ordered Tonkotsu shoyu and Tonkotsu shio ramen. They both are delicious as well. The chashu pork is tender.
The restaurant is big, nice and clean. Service is excellent.

Had the Yaki Udon, the noodles were nice and thick, were a bit softer than I expected, flavors were delicious. The volcano fries were top notch, had a decent amount of kick, everyone in my party enjoyed them. Would come here again to try the other ramen dishes.

Today I savored the most amazing Yasai Ramen. Nomu is my new favorite restaurant. It is very elegant inside with large artworks of ginkgo leaves on the wall, and fun music playing. This is a great place for a date. The Ramen was especially delicious, but what sets Nomu apart is the service. The hospitality is warm and welcoming. It’s out of the way, a little hidden, but well worth seeking out. I will be returning often.

Honestly, it was better than I expected. I’m a pretty picky eater when it comes to ramen and Asian food in general since I was born in Japan and lived in Taiwan for 8 years, but for American standards, this was well above average. The tonkotsu shio and yuzu shoyu ramen were both seasoned really well. The noodles could be a bit more “QQ” for my taste, but overall, they were great. The pork slices were juicy and tender too. Overall, I’d say this is easily one of the best spots in Illinois for ramen and Japanese food.

The food is good. The service is good. I think they were a little better when they first opened. They definitely need to figure out there. Weird bathroom situation.

I was invited by a friend to try this place. Once we entered the restaurant we were warmly greeted by the hostess and guide us on our table. Once we seated, the water came in and gave us a few minutes to check the menu. Our server gave us good options and she’s very nice and bubbly. Once we ordered it only took few minutes and our food was served. Please see the pictures with my intakes

It used to be a great place, now it went downhill :/
Ordered food on 11/10/25 and this is supposed to be rainbow roll on the picture. 18$ for microscopic pieces of fish that falling apart. Whoever cooked on this day couldn’t bother less about how unappetizing it might be
Paid $50 for 2 rolls (you can see how awful they look) and a cup of ramen
Very disappointed, since it used to be a spot i liked…
