We tried the Nom Sense food truck in Charlotte when they visited Birdsong Brewery. They specialise in South Asian cuisine, and they didn’t disappoint.
We got the Butter me Up and Jalisco Inferno along with their Curry Loaded Fries. While we weren’t exactly too fond of the braised chicken in Butter me Up, the spicy naan with chicken in Jalisco Inferno was lip-smacking. The cotija cheese and herbs reinforced the flavour of the curry loaded fries. However, I recommend the fries to be consumed soon after getting them—they don’t last if you refrigerate them.
We liked that they’re felon, women owned and that they put in their best into the food that they serve. I’ll try more of their meals in the future and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a spicy take on Indian and Mexican fusion food.

We absolutely love Nom Sense!!! Best food hands down!!! We eat there as often as we can! If Nom Sense has 1 million fans, I’m one of them. If Nom Sense has 1 fan, it’s me. If Nom Sense has no fans, i’m dead. But seriously each dish is blasting with flavor and so much attention to detail to complement all the ingredients! We love Nom Sense!!!!

Some of the best food I’ve ever had. The flavors are perfectly balanced and the quality is so consistent. They are sweet people with a heart of gold. They will even feed you if you don’t have money.

Nomsense was parked at the Bar(n) at Packa’s Place in Horseshoe when we stopped by for a Saturday afternoon drink. We wanted to share something and frankly, had the hardest time deciding what to order because the entire menu looked creative and tasty! There is a definite Indian/Asian flare to the food, but I wouldn’t nail it down to any one particular cuisine. We ordered the Balogn-mi sandwich, which was a take on a bahn-mi, but with finely chopped and fried bologna. Super messy, but full of flavor, with a nice sauce and lots of cilantro to balance the rich, umami flavor in the sauce on the meat. I also asked for a side of their butter sauce (usually served with a chicken dish) and a side of naan for dipping. The naan was more like warm pita, but still great, and that sauce was to die for! Took the leftovers home because I will be figuring out something to add it to! The staff/ownership were so friendly and I love that they have a policy that no one will go away hungry if they don’t have the ability to pay, and that they are proudly woman-owned, black-owned and felon-owned. They own that everyone should have a second chance and are living into that mentality. Way to go! I will definitely be keeping track of this truck and trying more of their food soon!

Amazing food, very flavorful. The crossovers are unique, this was my first Indian inspired quesadilla and I can’t wait to have another.
The kids curry was so good I had to buy another to take home. I’ll be back!

Nonsense is the best food truck in WNC. If you like spicy, their vindaloo sauce is amazing. I try not to eat it all (but I usually do) because it’s also perfect in scrambled eggs the next day. The may have numerous vegetarian options as well. Once you try them, you will be a regular

I love their food, their mission, and the staff are incredibly nice.
I craved the food the second I finished after having it in Hendersonville. I now try to make sure I get something every time they’re in the Charlotte area. We’ve had the inferno (actually spicy!! Wow!! Thank you!) , the butter me up, fries and now the rangoons. Everything has been amazingly tasty and unique. I hope to eventually try everything on the menu however the inferno is now my favorite thing ever.

Absolutely amazing food. Tried Nom Sense at 7 clans brewing today and loved it. Wonderful flavors. I got the butter me up and it definitely hit the spot. Also love their message of paying it forward. If you have the means and stop by this food truck, I highly recommend contributing to Elijah’s tab.

NomSense is hands down the best food truck I’ve ever been to. They are the best humans and they do so much for their community. The crab rangoons are my favorite ever. I’ve never had anything bad there. We are proud to be regulars at their food truck!
