Spectacular low key small bakery in the historic Heritage Villqge. This bakery did not disappoint! Excellent cupcake at an awesome price point. The taste of the chocolate cupcake icing was absolutely exquisite. The cupcake itself was moist and delicious, but that icing would be what bro fa me back.

Excellent addition to the Huntington area. This spot is worth the visit and worth visiting again and again.

First time I went it was amazing. The staff was wonderful, the food was delicious, and they had a great selection of vegan options like pastries, croissants, and empanadas.

Unfortunately, every visit since then has been disappointing. The vegan selection has steadily shrunk and is basically nonexistent now. The empanadas have also gotten noticeably smaller, and the overall quality and service seem to have declined.

On my most recent visit, I was served a latte that was maybe around 8 oz. Shortly after, I saw another customer receive what looked like a much larger latte in a 16 oz to-go cup. When I asked if I could order a larger size, I was told—rather abruptly—that the size I had was the only option, which didn’t seem accurate based on what I had just seen.

It’s also been difficult to get clear answers about ingredients when asking staff, which can be frustrating when you’re trying to follow dietary preferences.

This place clearly has a lot of potential, which makes it disappointing to see the decline. I hope they reconsider expanding their vegan options and improving consistency in service and quality.

It feels as if this bakery belongs somewhere in NYC. The quality of all the baked goods has been phenomenal. It was a treat to see alfajores for sale, with a delicate cookie and rich center. We love the croque monsieur, very rich and comforting. There are many different empanadas to choose from, we always end up taking some home. This is definitely a place you dont want to miss, we will be back soon!

One of my very favorite places in Huntington! The cozy atmosphere is so welcoming, and I love to bring my laptop or a book for an excuse to stick around. The food is always phenomenal—from unique croissants to freshly-squeezed juice to perfect empanadas. Their custom cakes and desserts are always incredible, and the owners are lovely and welcoming.

Disclaimer; I made a trip to the area, mostly to come to this bakery. I saw that they got ‘best cake shop’ by USA today and it was close to home (about 2 hours) so I decided to come see what it was about. Overall, it was a great disappointment. Here are the reasons;
1) On google, it said they were closed Thursday through Monday. This was the first week of July. I thought that was weird so I emailed them on Wednesday and asked them if they were open on Saturday and Sunday? They said ‘yes’. That was the only response. However, they were in fact closed for the upcoming 4 days and did not mention this in the email response. So the google information was correct.
2) I show up on Saturday, to find a note on the door saying they are closed until Monday at 8am due to the holiday. Big disappointment but I think, okay, I will just go then.
3) Show up Monday morning about 10am. They DONT HAVE CROISSANTS! Given that this is half of their menu, I would have expected them to have them ready. The person helping me didn’t even tell me they were out right away. Only after I said I wanted one did he say so.
4) There was a roach on the floor crawling around. It was small. This made me look around a bit more, where I noticed a very visible bug catcher. Didn’t even try to hide it!
5) I got the yogurt parfait. It was okay, but quite sweet for my liking.
6) I got 2 empanadas. The middles were cold on both. Overall they had a good taste but were a bit soggy.
7) Asked for my cupcake to eat in house. He gives me the plate and I eat it, thinking it is quite cold. Realize it was probably refrigerated/frozen for 4 days. Its also dry. Wasn’t anything special really and the filling in the middle was a very small amount.
8) I now do not think any of the baked goods were fresh. They were probably 4 days old.
9) The next person orders a cupcake to go. When he gives it to them, he says, ‘These are best enjoyed after being at room temperature for about 30 minutes’. This is after I ordered cupcakes for me and my daughter and we are eating them, realizing how cold they were. He told me no such thing nor made any effort to make these more enjoyable to eat in house.
10) The croissants were ready about 45 minutes after we got there. The server didn’t tell me this. I just had to go up and ask. Also, there were other people that had tried to order the croissants and decided to wait outside until they were done. The staff did not inform them they were done. I told them on my way out.
11) The croissants were warm since they were just baked. Overall they were good. Nice flavor. Good texture.
12) I was not easy to find. It is inside the visitor center with very minimal signage. It is also in between the visitor center and a gift shop, with very little inside seating.

I have been to a ton of bakeries. I love them. I make a point to go in almost every city I visit. This place seemed like it had just opened, they had no idea what they were doing, and the bug on the floor didn’t help. They bake area was almost empty, they didn’t have any of their variety of gluten free options out at all, and overall it was quite empty of product. I know that they had just had 4 days off, but I would expect much much better from such an accolade as the #1 Cake Shop.

Everything is amazing! The coffee beans are roasted locally, probably the best coffee in Huntington. The curry chicken and ham and cheese empanadas are to die for. Tons of sweet treat options as well. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would.

I so wish I would have taken a pic of my corn empanada. It was NOTHING like the pics I have seen. I promise you it had 3 DOTS of cotija cheese and the tiniest drizzle of sauce. Seriously?! My side salad that came with my empanada combo meal was probably 4 bites. There was no shaved Parmesan (like the cashier said there would be), so I asked for it and she brought back out my salad with FOUR shreds of cheese. Disappointing for the price. Hard to justify going back

Great breakfast. Best coffee I’ve ever had a anywhere, get the French Press you wont regret it. Had tons of cakes and baked goods. The guy working the register doubled as server and he was absolutely amazing, very friendly and knowledgeable about the items that were on the menu. The atmosphere is very laid back and chill, this is a cool little local spot in Huntington I’d call it a hidden gem, def a great experience.

Cute, cozy atmosphere and very friendly staff, but the food was disappointing. I got a few things – the Mexican Street Corn empanada (filling was great, but the wrapper kind of stale and limp), a Chocolate Raspberry Cookie (good), and a Lemon Lavender Roll (dry, and hardly tasted like anything in its namesake). If I were to come back, it’d only be for the tea/coffee and confections. Unfortunately regret coming here for breakfast
