Five star experience all around everything was absolutely fantastic. It was worth every single penny. I would do it again in a minute. Great dinner spot! Everything we had was great. The ribs were fantastic. We had a big crowd and Emma was fast and friendly. The drinks were good and the setting is picturesque. You can sit outside and see the docks in the background. Great spot

We are here two nights and had amazing meals both times! The service was top notch and the entire staff made us feel welcome. The small plates to share were just phenomenal and easy to make as an entree! As a FYI all of these things come in threes and at random times as they are ready. The only thing we ate we didn’t enjoy was the Black Cod dish, it was definitely missing something. Our favorite dishes were the sticky ribs, the shrimp bao buns, the chicken lollipops and the ahi tuna tacos.

Our server described the restaurant as “Detroit-style tapas.” We had no idea what that meant but were served with a unique variety of delicious, shareable dishes that reflected farm to table, Italian, Latin, and Japanese cuisines. Everything was fresh and seasonal. Our server, Alex, helped us course things out and advised us on which of the creative cocktails to order. They have a huge patio facing the marina and the inside is nicely decorated. This was definitely worth the trip to Bay Harbor!

Phenomenal evening- 5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. If you’re looking for a dining experience that offers an array of cuisines – look no further. You will be glad you tried Nomads. We had such a nice evening.
Chef Jefferey and Chef Jeff – offer a delicious menu of shareable plates that were beyond our expectations. The menu changes frequently so look forward to new dishes.
Our table shared the Cashew Halibut- the Cajun cashews was so flavorful, Garlic Chicken- melt in your mouth tender, Nashville Hot Chicken Boa- crispy and the pickle slaw added the zip, buffalo chicken lollipops- hot honey sweetness … our table favorite was the Sticky Ribs! Delicious! Delicious! Fall off the bones- yum pickled vegetables.
A relaxing atmosphere, staff members were personal and attentive, dinning area was welcoming. The outside patio area has a gorgeous view. Sitting area with a fireplace. They offer a full bar- signature drinks, check out the wine list.
Make sure you save room for dessert. The sweet potato gelato with pralines was scrumptious!
Each entree exceeded our exceptions in flavor and highlighted the star of the dish.
Nomads is quickly becoming one of our favorite places to dine.
Thank You Bryan, GM, for ensuring that our dining experience was exceptional.

When our waitperson, Emma, told us everything on the menu was designed for sharing, she wasn’t kidding! Even the main meat dishes were way too much for one person. I would say that they are optimized for three people, but my wife and I tend not to gorge ourselves, so there were doggie bags.
We ordered three things. First up were the Brussels sprouts with artichokes. Brussels are all the rage in fine dining and most of the involve balsamic vinegar. It was refreshing to have them with some different ingredients. The creamy sauce was rich without being overbearing. The sprouts were cooked to the proper consistency–firm but not crunchy.
The next dish to be served was the Pork Shank, which I ordered as my main. I love lamb shanks. This shank was similarly tender and beautifully slow cooked. It was served with a white bean chipote mash and some flour tortillas. This was topped with pickled red onions. The mash had a slight hint of heat. I would have liked more. I would have also liked more of the pickled onions. There weren’t enough for every bite, but the bites I had with them were the best. The little tacos I made were divine. This dish is highly recommended.
Shortly after the pork arrived, my wife’s salmon was served. I’m allergic to fish, so this is her review. She said the fish was properly cooked. The marinade tenderized the fish and allowed the flavor to permeate throughout. The carrots were tasty, but more of a garnish than a vegetable part of the dish. More would have been nice. As you can see from the pic, there is more fish there than one person should eat. We recommend sharing for sure on this plate. She will make three meals of it.
Emma was great! She was cheerful and prompt without being obtrusive. She also demonstrated good knowledge of the food, which is always appreciated. The rest of the staff were also very friendly and welcoming. The decor is modern and has that louder vibe that many modern restaurants go for. We tend not to like it too loud. Maybe they suspected as much because they sat us away from the bar, which was the main source of the loudness.

Awesome restaurant! Creative, fun and excellent culinary combined with fun waterfront vibe and outstanding service. Plus professional cocktails / mixology. For sure top 3 in wider Petoskey region. Highly recommend. This is a belated review as we’ve been countless times— our recommendation is long overdue.

Really nice restaurant by the water. Perfect for summer outdoor seating! The vibe is great and so is food! Mind you portions are really small so order multiple dishes. Food won’t disappoint you I’ll promise you that! Little bit on $$$ side but it’ll be a good dining experience. Nice interior and good overall experience.

NOMAD is very good. It’s probably the best restaurant I’ve been to in the Petoskey to Charlevoix area. The dishes are meant to be shared so we tried a few. The Mediterranean board was awesome. The pickled turnips were the best I’ve ever had. The Miso Potatoes and Brussel sprouts were both delicious. The Charred Octopus was just OK. The minor criticisms of dishes- the pita bread was fried and didn’t meet the quality of the Mediterranean board. The Brussels sprouts and Miso Potatoes were slightly over sauced. The NOMAD Old Fashioned was incredible. The view from the patio is fantastic. Finally, the server was friendly and helpful explaining the menu.

I don’t always take photos and sometimes you just have to see for yourself. Definitely understaffed, but our server went out of her way to try so hard to make it as pleasant as possible. The setting in the atmosphere was nice and although we didn’t sit on the patio I wish we actually did. We both had the miso black cod, which was actually delicious, but you can skip the brussels sprout dish as it was really disgusting. Overall would recommend and I do like that. The menu was limited… It helps in your selection and you’re not overwhelmed.
