When I arrived to pick up my online order, the hostess looked confused when I said I was there to pick up an online order. There weren’t any customers seated in the restaurant. She asked me what my order was. I told her my name, but she insisted on knowing what my order was. I then scrolled through my messages to double check, because I am multitasking today and was distracted when I ordered online. Not sure why I needed to recite my order, because no other restaurant has required that. However, once I found my exact order and repeated it as requested, she asked my name….which of course I had already provided to begin with. She walked over to the counter behind her and checked the slip attached to the one order bagged up, sitting there (I ordered within minutes of opening). Sure enough, all she needed to do was check the name associated with the order. As for the food: I ordered pineapple fried rice. This would be more accurately named raisin/cashew fried rice. I don’t mind the raisins and cashews, but they overshadowed the pineapple by a long shot. There were maybe 7 pineapple tidbits (from a can) in the entire dish. It was good, but it should highlight the ingredient it’s named for.

My wife and I tried the tofu won ton soup, and it was so good we both felt like we could CRY.

Won ton soup is so hard to find for #vegetarians…and we both agreed after trying it that we were going to be repeat customers! We also tried the pineapple macaroon, and it was so fresh and flavorful. Nom nom deli is 10/10. ♡

My FAVORITE!! I’ve been going here since I was 9, and it has consistently hit every time. The highlight of downtown oly, great interior and great staff. Vegetarian options for everything that is always reasonably priced. I always get the spicy Lemongrass Tofu bánh mì, but everything else on the menu is great too.

I’m another person confused about the raving reviews. We got a Banh mi #1… should be classic banh mi…. but there was no mayo or sauce of any kind… no pickled veggies… loaded with onions… very dry sandwich.

And Pad see ew…. no broccoli…that’s like the main ingredient in pad see ew… and it was pad Thai noodles instead of the wide noodles.
I’m just really confused about what I ordered vs what I got.
No one was eating in the restaurant… makes sense, it’s not clean. I won’t be back.

Had the food for pickup. The food as a whole did not taste well at all, the worst Asian restaurant i have ever been and I’m part Asian at 54 years old . The drink that we received was sour due to the milk and keep in mind we had it for pickup.

Small Vietnamese deli filled with delicious foods. Highly recommend the lemongrass pork sandwich which was both delicious and extremely reasonably priced. The spring rolls were okay but one was unwrapped and the other was very loosely wrapped. Otherwise great experience. Gets pretty busy during lunch hour and seating is limited so plan accordingly. Overall, staff was very friendly and food was extremely reasonably priced!

Reviews are misleading. This was such a disappointment. BBQ pork bun was vegetables, no meat, looked exactly like the veggie one. Dry thick breading around. Staff was nice. Inside was hot. We were in town for one day and I am SO sad we ate here. DONT be fooled by the reviews!

Unassuming spot downtown. Got the lemongrass tofu and curry tofu and Banh mi. Nothing mind blowing but both were solid and impossible to beat the price. $7 for a sandwich in the year 2025 is insane. Would come back to try the pork as many have suggested.

Absolutely disgusting experience at Nom Nom Deli. As soon as I walked in, there was a horrible, foul smell that made me want to turn around immediately. The place was filthy—tables were sticky, the floor was dirty, and I saw flies buzzing around the food prep area. The sandwiches and noodles were terrible: bland, soggy, and clearly thrown together without any care. To make matters worse, the owner was extremely rude and had zero sense of customer service. I wouldn’t eat here again even if it were free. This place is a health hazard—avoid it at all costs.
