WARNING!!! WARNING!!!WARNING!!! We visited this restaurant from Wisconsin and had high hopes. The food was disappointing and awful. I ordered shrimp and grits, catfish nuggets, gumbo and my husband a well done burger, fries and gumbo. The burger was not well done and the grits laughfable. I asked myself are these grits or cornbread so to be fair I called the restaurant back to inform them about the burger with no accommodations from the owner, Nothing $75.00 of nothing (I even tipped the person who gave us our carry out) , Nothing but bad over priced food and service. I’ve gotten better food and service with a better price in New York City. Here is my advice to you and the owner. To anyone thinking of eating here please, please, spend your money elsewhere but if you have money to throw away come here for bad food and bad service. And to the Owner you are in the hospitable South please uphold the reputation. When you are taking money from folks provide the service that you claim to provide education yourself about the business that you are in and do it with grace and kindness that will take you so far and it will keep your restaurant doors open. But NEVER!!! Will I come here.

Everything is good. Steaks are very tender. I recommend shrimp St Charles if you want something different and southern. Crawfish ya ya for appetizers.

Since NOLA’s now opens in the evening, and their menu has changed, the vibe is a bit different.
Perhaps because it’s now “After Hours”, there’s a small bar, and the open setting allows for every guest to share the cute little space with their parties intimately, yet together.
The same NOLA patrons that used to go for lunch are off the clock, ready to wind down, and are more chill; and considering the cultural behaviors in the area, those who aren’t “regulars” are able to walk-in, receive a professional warm welcome, and enjoy some great food, and good service without being rushed, feeling awkward, or out of place (besides that good ol’ “head turn” in unison that happens when you first walk into a spot, and look brand new)…
The “new” NOLA’s, so far, seems to understand the importance of diversifying, at least in presentation and service, and for the small town it serves, this is a good thing.
It would be interesting to know if staff felt the same. Nevertheless, the staff is diverse, friendly, and upbeat, and the food is really good!

Very good restaurant in Indianola! I was glad I stopped in for dinner here. Neat atmosphere with exposed brick walls and posters from old movies like Casablanca and Indiana Jones. I got the shrimp boil and the duck wings and both were very good. The duck wings especially were well seasoned and better than chicken wings in my opinion! This place is more expensive than other places in town, but the food is much higher caliber than the other places.

The Shrimp and Grits were best I’ve had, made in a restaurant setting.

The Bloody Mary is made with Steve Azar’s bloody mary mix. It sold me, I will be buying that mixer from here on.

The chef visited our table to ask us if everything was good.

Would recommend to friends.

I had blackened redfish, wife had shrimp and grits. Both wonderful dishes. I had twice baked potato. Don’t know what they did extra but I could have eaten 3 or 4 of them.

I ordered takeout from there yesterday. The food was amazing that’s why I’m leaving a review. The fried okra was nothing like I’ve ever tasted. I also had the chicken Alfredo it was amazing. This place is definitely a 5 star place. I didn’t sit in but the atmosphere looked peaceful and everyone was nice. I like it . I highly recommend it

Okay so an honest review. The food was really good however the Lafitte sauce could have been warmer and the service could have been a scosche more attentive. The dessert was really, really, good. My wife actually said shut up. I wasn’t allowed to talk while she ate. Nola is a great date spot and they need to get some more wine on their list. Honestly I would have given it three and a half stars but it was pulled up to four by the dessert
