This is an interesting place right in downtown Osseo with a strange fusion of Indian and New Orleans cuisines. Not something that is expected, but it works. The staff is friendly the food is quite good and the prices are reasonable. They also have a nice list of wine and local micro brews. I’ve been there a few times and I’ve never been disappointed. I would definitely recommend Nola to those who who live in the area and have never been. It’s worth checking out.

Good options on the menu, NOLA specialities and some good fusion combinations. The food tasted great and well presented, however, I was bit disappointed with the quantity for the money we paid. The waiter (probably Erik) was very nice, prompt and courteous. Very pleasant ambiance.

We very much enjoyed the atmosphere, with French doors open to the evening along one whole wall. Our waitress was very helpful in finding something on the menu that I could eat with my food allergies, but otherwise service was slow at times. The food was delicious, but expensive for the portions you get, and since half of each of our entrees was rice, it wouldn’t have cost them much more to give us a full meal. We were also disappointed that they don’t do beignets, since we had room for dessert.

3.5 – Food is good, not great, and service is fine. Management cares but ambiance is a bit sparse but getting better every year. My wife and I arrived without reservations and noticed that the restaurant was about 25% seated, but were told that they were full with reservations and probably couldn’t serve us dinner. We were fine sitting in the bar/waiting area for a drink. We were seated after only 10 minutes and curiously the place never got more than 30% occupied. The server was nice but the table visits were rare (the salad dishes and appetizer dishes were still on the table when the entree arrived – I hunted down silverware and a napkin and it all seemed rather odd for a $90.00 meal for two)

The atmosphere is cozy and very nicely decorated. We had a few of the specialty cocktails which were so unique and flavorful we wanted to try them all but alas….
The food was absolutely amazing! Flavors I couldn’t begin to describe but were dancing on our tongues. Nice portions, great options for veg or GF food. Best catfish I ever had! Service was amazing and well worth every cent and every minute! We are definitely coming back often

We reserved the back room for a recognition dinner and it was wonderful. The food was amazing and we had so much of it! The waitstaff was courteous and attentive and we loved the decor. We had a few people with dietary restrictions and they worked with us to make sure our menu was appealing to them too. I highly recommend this place for a dinner for two or an event. Thank you so much for making our event a hit!

My husband and I came here on a whim today, and we’re glad we did! We each had a cocktail, and they were both excellent. For our meal, we ordered a two-person entree, the Big Easy, which is a sampling of various things, and it was very tasty. I look forward to coming back and trying some other things on the menu! This is exactly the kind of fun, unique, and elegant independent restaurant that we love to visit.

Absolutely amazing! This is a Twin Cities gem!! Decor in incredible, I felt transported into the south. Staff was so kind, attentive, funny, and overall top notch. Food….oh my yumminess! Every single item we ordered was filled with deep aromas and flavors. I was very impressed with their southern and international fusion menu. Probably my favorite food experience in the twin cities in the past five years. Went on a Friday night and it was a blend of trendy patrons and couples on date night. There were some families too.

I highly recommend making the trip to Nola Bistro.

Beautiful place!! Quite pricey.. for very simple food. NOLA food is hearty & plentiful.. not served on tiny appetizer plates for $9. We had skewers.. mostly peppers & onions – literally 3 pieces of chicken between the 2 skewer & it was very dry (as was the chicken in my mate’s meal). Sausage was mediocre, no better than I get @the grocery. Service was pleasant & prompt. Lots of potential… expand menu, reduce prices, advertise.
