Reviews
The Lobster Taco ($20) and Wagyu Taco ($22) were SO tiny, tasted good but not worth the money for such a small portion. Shrimp Tempura ($18) was just two skinny pieces. The nigiri & sashimi were tasty, fresh and good ratio of fish to rice portion. Soft Shell Crab Roll was good! Tried the Seabass Tempura with Amazu Ponzu ($65)—this was so delicious, had a kick to it and overall crispy on the outside but soft fish inside, full of flavor with each bite. For cocktails we tried the Pina Martini, Lychee & Elderflower Martini and Mango Passion—all good but too sweet for my preference.
Note, they do accept Caesars drink vouchers here. And this restaurant is part of the Chase Sapphire Exclusive Table perk!
• Yellowtail Jalapeño – 3/5
Tasty and well executed, but it felt a bit familiar—almost like something I’ve had many times before. Good, but not particularly memorable.
• Dry Miso Red Snapper – 5/5
This is a must-order. Absolutely delicious and beautifully balanced. One of the highlights of the meal.
• Rock Shrimp – 4/5
The shrimp were cooked to a perfect tenderness—clearly excellent craftsmanship.
The sauce, however, was very bold and a bit overpowering for a Japanese palate. Personally, I’d love to try this with something more traditional, like matcha salt or dipping sauce with grated daikon.
• Las Vegas Roll with Salmon – 5/5
Perfectly formed. The roll gently fell apart in the mouth, showing great technique and attention to detail.
• Miso Black Cod – 5/5
Soft, buttery, and flawless—exactly what you expect from this classic dish.
While the flavors and execution were strong overall, the presentation felt underwhelming for the price point.
For a restaurant at this level, I would have loved to be more visually impressed as well, not just satisfied by taste.
The service was great and the options for vegan food were pretty good too. One of the few restaurants in the area with a good selection of Vegan food, which is especially rare to get in a Japanese restaurant.
They even have a vegan tasting menu which were took and we were not disappointed! 7 courses of tasty food with various different flavors! Right from cold preparations (Sushi, Sashimi) to hot preparations (Japanese style vegetables, Tofu) and dessert! They also made the dessert a little extra special for our anniversary celebration. There is a lot of food in these seven courses and we were thoroughly satisfied with the taste and quantity.
Food: it’s only ok for me.
Wagyu Taco: One piece of the wagyu was basically FAT! chef can have exam the beef! prior to cooking it.
Beef Toban-yaki: half of the beef in the dish were very chewy.
Crispy Rice: This is the worst among all. The sauce is so salty and thick as if it came out of store bought teriyaki sauce. The rice was like overnight refried rice.
Seabass Tempura: This is exceptionally good dish. The sauce were able to take away the ‘fatty’ feel of the seabass.
Yellowtail Belly: Very fresh and tasty.
Baked Crab cut and Toro Cut: very standard taste.
Service: Waiter was very attentive.
For the side note, we were sitting at the sushi bar and were able to see all the actions from the chefs behind. I personally think the cloth to wipe down the knife, cutting board, and dishes should not be reuse at all. If one of the sashimi is containment, all would get it after all these repeated wipe! (Thank goodness that they are not!)
The Black Cod with Miso was deeply enriching, offering that signature Nobu umami flavor, while the Seabass Tempura with Amazu Ponzu impressed with its crisp texture and the perfect balance of citrusy acidity. The Squid “Pasta” with Light Garlic Sauce caught me off guard, the creativity of using squid as the pasta itself was genius, and it tasted phenomenal.
To top it off, our Negronis were a masterpiece of a cocktail, smooth, balanced, and beautifully presented. A huge shoutout to Randy, our amazing server, who made excellent recommendations and provided outstanding service throughout the evening. Overall, this was a 5-star experience with friendly staff, exquisite dishes, relaxing ambiance and a menu that truly enriches the palate. Nobu is a dining experience not to be missed.
