I ordered the nobu chicken, spam matsubi, and sea weed salad online and took it home to eat. The shop it’s self was nice and clean. The staff was friendly and welcomed me. I will start with the spam mastubi. It was alright. Normally I get enjoy this dish but this one did not stand out to me much. It felt bland and I didn’t taste much of the spam. It was a big size though so that was nice. The seaweed salad was great. Big portion and a lot of flavor to it. I would definitely order this again. The nobu chicken was decline’s delicious! This dish tells you it is spicy and I love spicy. What I love about this dish is how it’s not overwhelmingly spicy but slowly builds overtime allowing you to taste the flavor and still get heat. The chicken in general tasted amazing and I would highly recommend this dish specifically. Overall, the price is great for the portion size. Would definitely recommend trying this place for the nobu chicken alone. This is what earned the 5 starts.

Nice place for casual food. Portions were big and tasty. Macaroni salad has a little twist from those I had at other places – good. Prices were fair. Tables included outdoor seating. Surprisingly, it was not too noisy being out adjacent to the street.

Very good food and great prices for the quantity of food. They have big kiosks to place your order which are a bit slow and clunky at times. Last time I visited one of the kiosks took you all the way up to payments and then failed.

Unique, hearty, casual spot. I can vouch for the deliciousness of the chicken karage (Japanese style fried chicken) and the spam masubi. I regularly pick up a few masubi to use for lunch for a few days. Based on the their crew and dishes I’ve had everything is probably lovely. Their Mac salad is a little different than the usual mayo heavy version that I love on plate lunch, but it is quite tasty nevertheless. Full combos are a traditional big big portion so don’t let any prices scare you, or go for the mini. Glad to have a good Hawaiian place in SLO city.

Went there on Father’s Day to celebrate with my family? We spent over $75 on 4 different dishes, it wasn’t Edible because of the amount of salt that was added, it almost burned your mouth. We had to throw it all away and go get pizza Instead. I drove from Arroyo Grande. This was absolutely disappointing. I called and talked to an employee and they were rude and said there’s nothing we can do. We’re closing no salutations

I came here to eat lunch. I paid $16 + tax for one plate of teriyaki mix. The ribs have a strong vinegar flavor and are very fatty. The best meat on the plate was the chicken. The chicken didn’t have an overpowering flavor. The beef was very fatty and had a coffee or similar flavor to it. At this location, I recommend avoiding the beef. The macaroni salad wasn’t really impressive. It was simply simple macaroni salad with very little flavor. The cole slaw was mediocre at best and tasted like water. The location is convenient to downtown, and if you have a stroller, the outside sitting is convenient. With a stroller, getting around the indoors is difficult.

Aloha, from a real Hawaiians point of view. So we got the mixed meat plate. Kalbi short ribs were cut into pieces and not served in a full slab. Needed teriyaki sauce. Chicken was ok. Needed teriyaki sauce. Teriyaki meat was crumbly and tasted weird. Not sure what kind of meat it was. We had to add teriyaki sauce to everything cause it didn’t have much flavor. Not the Hawaiian style bbq I’m used to. Mac salad is not original Hawaiian style. But all n all it went down. It was food, but would I go back for Hawaiian bbq here? Probably not. That’s too bad, but I wish them the best.

Microwaved Microplastics. They claim to be BBQ but instead microwave your food inside a plastic bag. For the amount paid they should actually cook in a natural method instead they cut corners and poison you.
