They really load up your plate. All of the food is takeout style. I ordered the Nobu chicken and pork. My favorite was the pork, it had good flavor. I did not really prefer the noble chicken because it had a lot of sweetness (but I don’t like sweet & savory together). Overall, I like the casual takeout vibes here.

Could have been what I ordered but was not a fan, the macaroni salad was sweet and tangy just the worst I’ve had.

This place loads the plates, and is very good the Mac salad is bomb but the only downside is there system to order is very confusing so it make take a second to get used to

I had a great time while visiting Slo, this restaurant is one of the best places in Slo. The staff is very helpful and polite, the restaurant is clean and the food portion is so big that I can even have it for dinner ha. I ordered a Teriyaki bowl and Nobu chicken (just the side dish alone was a huge portion and I love the macaroni so much), the chicken is so tender and the sauce is rich, and yummy. The food tastes just like what I’ve tried in Hawaii. If you’re in SLO and looking for a Hawaiian restaurant, this spot is a must-visit. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for delicious food and great service in SLO!

Ordered the food online during normal lunch hours. Picked it up at the time it was supposed to be ready. Food was really fresh and tasty. My only complaint is that the pork was too salty. Other than that, highly recommend and will come back.

Always try to stop here when in slo. Love the mac salad. Don’t really care for the coleslaw a little too watery. The short ribs are my favorite. The chicken katsu and garlic shrimp are delicious.

consistently sooo delicious. i get the same thing every time — the nobu chicken that comes with rice and mac salad/coleslaw and it’s literally so effing good. plus i always have leftovers and it’s so delicious still after reheating. their musubi is so tasty too, i love this place so much. im now a weekly customer.

I came here to eat lunch. I paid $16 + tax for one plate of teriyaki mix. The ribs have a strong vinegar flavor and are very fatty. The best meat on the plate was the chicken. The chicken didn’t have an overpowering flavor. The beef was very fatty and had a coffee or similar flavor to it. At this location, I recommend avoiding the beef. The macaroni salad wasn’t really impressive. It was simply simple macaroni salad with very little flavor. The cole slaw was mediocre at best and tasted like water. The location is convenient to downtown, and if you have a stroller, the outside sitting is convenient. With a stroller, getting around the indoors is difficult.

The place is clean but it’s a far cry from good Hawaiian food. The kalua is over cooked and mushed to h***, on top of day old, dry, mushy rice. The Mac salad might as well be candy it’s so sweet and using cavatappi instead of short Mac is just a waste, maybe if it tasted good it’d be worth it. To top it all off they threw in coleslaw with sesame seeds on top of it, as if that would help get it away from tasting like KFC. Plus they said they were out of any kind of soy sauce. Overall terrible, and i feel bad for San Luis Obispo for having this restaurant rated as 4 stars.

I ordered the nobu chicken, spam matsubi, and sea weed salad online and took it home to eat. The shop it’s self was nice and clean. The staff was friendly and welcomed me. I will start with the spam mastubi. It was alright. Normally I get enjoy this dish but this one did not stand out to me much. It felt bland and I didn’t taste much of the spam. It was a big size though so that was nice. The seaweed salad was great. Big portion and a lot of flavor to it. I would definitely order this again. The nobu chicken was definitely delicious! This dish tells you it is spicy and I love spicy. What I love about this dish is how it’s not overwhelmingly spicy but slowly builds overtime allowing you to taste the flavor and still get heat. The chicken in general tasted amazing and I would highly recommend this dish specifically. Overall, the price is great for the portion size. Would definitely recommend trying this place for the nobu chicken alone. This is what earned the 5 starts.
