Brought my mother here for the New Years brunch! Our first time trying this place. We didn’t know it started at 10, not 9. So we waited it out. Lol. Totally worth it. Everyone was very friendly! We will definitely put this place in our weekend breakfast rotation! Really great staff!

The upstairs is a bar, and the downstairs is a restaurant that you can take your family. If you sit outside there’s a lot of cats that like to roam around. We ordered several things but the only one that we liked was the Noah’s Burger. It was delicious! Everyone was nice and friendly, but they told us that they had sent all the staff home early and we were left unattended for most of our time. I do not blame our waitresses she was very nice and she was running around trying to take care of everyone all by herself. The problem was that we were sitting outside and we were left in the cold just waiting to pay so we could go home.

I hadn’t been to Noah’s Ark in years, so I wasn’t sure what to expect—but wow. The food is on a whole different level now. I ordered the grilled shrimp tacos and a half dozen fresh oysters, and everything was fantastic. The oysters were incredibly fresh, and the shrimp tacos were perfectly seasoned and flavorful. The menu feels much more elevated than I remember, and it shows. Definitely worth coming back for!

It was delicious. The catfish, shrimp and oysters have a lot of good flavor!

The 6 oysters with cheese are so good, the view is great, the service was good, we just waited a little bit for the food, but the taste makes up for the wait, I would definitely come back.

Thanks Vivian, she was very kind.

Ok we only got drinks and fries but $2 beer during happy hour when you’re literally feet from the water. Unbelievable!!! And regular prices are only $3! The fries we’re great too. Absolutely no complaints. Will be back!

Great Beach Vibe, Delicious Seafood, and Gorgeous Views

Noah’s Ark is such a fun spot on Galveston Bay! The restaurant is huge inside with lots of windows, a downstairs patio, and a full upstairs patio where they host live music on the weekends. The whole place has an eclectic beach bar vibe that feels laid-back but lively at the same time—perfect for a coastal escape.

The food was absolutely delicious. My oysters were huge, juicy, and perfectly prepared. The hush puppies were seasoned so well that even I (who usually doesn’t like them) thought they were fantastic. The fries had a unique, lightly battered flavor that made them extra good. My husband’s coconut shrimp had just the right amount of coconut flavor, and the coleslaw was sweet but balanced, not overdone. The coconut sauce was different than usual—it didn’t have pineapple like traditional versions—but it still worked wonderfully with the shrimp. Both the cocktail and tartar sauces tasted homemade and were packed with flavor.

The only downside for me was that substitutions weren’t allowed, even if I was willing to pay extra. For example, I would have swapped fries for fried okra since they were listed at the same price on the menu, but the policy wouldn’t allow it. That was frustrating. Also, our waitress was new and it showed a little, but she was kind and tried her best.

Overall, the experience was fantastic—the food, views, and vibe more than make up for the small drawbacks. Noah’s Ark is a must-stop if you’re looking for great seafood and a fun atmosphere on the bay. I’d definitely come back!

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Update: We came back for breakfast and unfortunately it dropped my rating to 4 stars. My husband’s French toast came out with no syrup or powdered sugar, and it took about 10 minutes just to get syrup (they said they had no powdered sugar at all). My English muffin and bacon were good but were served on his plate with his meal, and we had to ask for more bacon to finish his order. The French toast itself was just okay, while the eggs, bacon, and muffin were solid but nothing special. Our waitress was very apologetic and explained there were new people in the kitchen, which showed. Dinner is definitely where Noah’s Ark shines, but breakfast and service still needs some work.

The food was horrible. Pier 6 owns this place now so we thought it would be good. I don’t really do bad reviews. But! Unwashed oysters, slow service, 90% bread crab cakes, Fake smoke taste on grilled chicken. The drinks were decent… If you have a cat allergy don’t even attempt. There are about 50 cats on the deck out front destroying the patio furniture.

We had the shrimp platter, the Noah’s Burger, Shrimp Alfredo, and the Philly cheese steak, and everything was delicious! The shrimp were huge! I love Mac N Cheese and theirs was one of the best I’ve had anywhere. The cost for the quality was right on point! You also cannot beat the view of the bay.

Service was slow, one diners entree never made it to the table(taken off tab), red wine flat(refunded), raw oysters muddy tasting. Most likely a much better bar. Nice views, outdoor seating good out of the way location, appeared to be only one waiter but a couple of servers. Noon friday

We visited on a Thursday evening and were looking forward to the prime rib special which menu shows includes prime rib, vegetables, and mashed potatoes. It is stated on the restaurant menu, and on their website, and on Facebook for Thursday nights. However, when we ordered we were told they no longer offer it. At least, update your online info.
It has been replaced by a 6 oz sirloin and baked potato. No salad, no vegetables, no bread – very small meal. Steak was OK. We also ate raw oysters which were good. And had an appetizer of jalapeno hush puppies – good but a very small quantity. Don’t come here with a big appetite.
Service was very slow and I had to make several trips to the bar to get drinks and the check. We waited a long time to pay.
We sat upstairs which has a very nice view of Galveston Bay. However, most people smoked – it is open air but the smell of smoke hangs in the air.
It could be an enjoyable place but they need to update their menu and hire help – 1 young man was left to handle all of the 2nd floor – bar and tables.
Too many better places in the area wuth good food and service – we won’t be returning.
