This was probably the worst Chinese meal I have ever had in my entire life. Mapo Tofu didn’t even taste like Mapo Tofu; it also had peas and carrots in it, and I have had that particular dish in multiple different restaurants not only in the city but also in other states. I also ordered Egg Drop soup that was tasteless as if they didn’t even add salt to the pot when making. I ordered broccoli with garlic, and it was like in the same sauce as the mapo tofu. I thought it’d literally just be sautéed broccoli with fresh garlic but just had that weird sauce as the mapo tofu. The most tolerable food item from my order was the steamed dumplings, but I think that’s only because they’re probably frozen/not made freshly there at the restaurant. Not a fan.

Very good hidden gem, as a foodie it’s hard finding certain places where you live that are great. I ordered the sesame chicken with pork fried rice and boneless spare ribs which were delicious. I’ll definitely be back

I ordered the House Special Mei Fun, a dish that costs $9–$11 at most Chinese restaurants, and No. 1 Restaurant Chinese charged me $17.
When I questioned the price, they said it was because I paid with a card.
Charging extra for card payments without clear disclosure is illegal in New York State.
This is dishonest and predatory pricing.
Not recommended. I will not return.

First off I really like the people at this reasturant. They’re friendly people who are always polite. So my review is about an order I placed which cointained the worst singapore Mei fun i’ve ever had. They managed to overcook the noodles & they were soggy & plus they chopped them up (I don’t know why they did that, it makes no sense), so even though the flavor was good it it ended up being a curry flavored oatmeal. I was starving when the food got here but one mouthful destroyed my appetite. Also stay away from the scallion pancakes because they’re terrible.

Dark inside, almost looks closed because several tables were up. It looked very clean too which is a total must for me. Here you eat your food and get out honestly or take it to go. Does not feel welcoming to sit and eat.
Chicken vegetable soup was good, I would recommend. Also the Chicken quesadilla was very tasty as well as the fried dumplings. Overall I would return and recommend to others.

Bought food from here on 3-9-24, had food poisoning, was so sick for a week. Nauseated, vomiting, diarrhea, pains, weakeness. I went to the urgent care, negative for flu and COVID. I don’t even eat out and the only weekend I was lazy to cook I lost a week ok work from the food poisoning. In my whole life I’ve never been this ill. The food tasted strange and yet I didn’t think anything of it until I became ill.
