Worst chinese takeout I every had. The chicken wings were refried, probably a day old. The fried was flavorless. Completely not what I expected. Could have gotten better takeout from a back ally street vendor then this place.

The food was great about a year ago. But got food today and all of the food made my family sick the beef is riddled with fat like they used fatty hanger steak. The shrimp tasted like they were cooked from frozen. The chicken tasted like it came from McDonald’s. The rice tasted and smelled like it was fermented.

I got the beef broccoli and sweet and sour chicken, never been so disappointed. Chicken was fried so hard could only eat a quarter of them, and the b&b was so salty. I will never eat here again.

I’ve gone to this place for years. The food is always great and consistent. Portions are the best bang for your buck. 100% the best Chinese food that’s not a buffet. Best chicken on a stick in Catawba county!!

House Lo mein had no steak, very little shrimp, green onions and no flavor. Cheese wontons not great. Will be strictly buying my Chinese food from Rice Fun which has great food..Never going to No 1 Kitchen again!! I was up all night long with dirrhea!!!!

This use to be my go to for Chinese. Haven’t been a long time but had a cravin’. The last time I went (years ago) I wasn’t happy with my food. I’m glad I gave it another try. I’m not a big meat eater but the veggies were fresh and cooked perfectly as well as the rice. I had 2 spring rolls and they were wonderful. The employees were very nice and helpful. Awesomely priced combo meal especially since there is plenty for the next day. Will definitely be going back.

I came in quick to get some sweet and sour shrimp during a break. Fella behind window went over some of the variants of the dishes and we ultimately settled on a combo. I paid being told~15 minutes. Came back on 10, food ready and hoit. Settled in car, dipped into sass it was good, but had a heavy pork taste to breading more than likely from the frier. All in all the sass, egg roll, rice, and drink were definitely worth another trip.

Since the Dollar General left, very few other places stayed in this shopping center and I think the lack of business has hurt NO. 1 Kitchen.
The good: I got the General Tso’s chicken. The chicken was awesome! They let the sauce soak into the breading instead of having that “extra crispy” texture that most places have. The egg roll was good too. Just good.
The bad: The rice and broccoli were terrible, as other users have said. There was nothing positive about the rice or vegetables at all.

I work an exit away, and wanted to try something different for lunch. Looked this place up, called in my order, and by time I got there it was ready (approx 10/15min). I got the egg roll ⭐⭐⭐⭐ and the fried chicken wings with pork fried rice ⭐⭐⭐⭐. I’m from NY, and have been in NC for about ten years now..they make the wings exactly like they do in NY- flavor and all!! Why didn’t I find this place sooner!? My lunch meal cost $10.. a little high IMO, but I’ll be eating here again.
